Why do those organizations exist? Just to correct and promote solutions to the issues for which they care about and exist? Just to fund themselves and their causes? There is no collective of pro-Earth groups that could use a united power.

Corrective actions taken towards the predicament of climate change should promise no solution, only better attempts at adaptation. But, as we all know intuitively, a critical mass must be achieved even in order to have adaptive actions become relevant. And a critical mass cannot be achieved unless there is a unifying backdrop to action. We’re not there yet.

No collective action will be fruitful until the problem is identified, until the acknowledgement of the issue is accepted, until there is a base from which to expand the collective productivity: the first step of the ecological 12-step program requires we ALL acknowledge our collective trauma, the damages we have done to Mother Nature and that we have wrought to Earth’s support systems, all in ignorance of the true actions of a thriving and sustainable world.

Therefore, organizations that voluntarily want to be included in a collective of an ecologically and biologically sustainable critical mass working to further the awareness and acknowledgement of what humans working at their present level of consciousness have ignorantly forced onto Nature shall have at least one sentence in their mission statement common and identical to the same sentence in the mission statement of every other organization of the collective. The sentence must be agreed upon immediately; jockying back and forth indefinitely like lawyers trying to ensure an advantage, like the UN trying to come to a consensus agreement in a COP, like humans in our ego-driven ways always have, will only permanently delay the power that the collective – and the world - needs to function as such: the polycrisis or metacrisis or whatever crisis you want to call it demands immediate attention. The sentence must be simple, but straight forward.

A first example could be: “Our organization, as part of a collective of organizations that also care for Nature, life, and a thriving planet, includes this statement as part of our overall mission statement to acknowledge that the consciousness of mankind to date has ignorantly [ignorant meaning unknowingly, unenlightened] wrought harms and damages to the support systems Earth provides for all life here on Earth, damages that must be reversed and corrected to the greatest extent possible, as we also promise to prioritize and collectively steward an ecological balance that supports Nature-first, and therefore humanity and all of life”.

Promote it forward.

The attempt to become “a more perfect union” is what we should celebrate. Not how powerful we are militarily or how strong we are economically, but rather that we actually are trying to bring “forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal” as Abraham Lincoln stated in his Gettysburg address (which every student ought to memorize). In that address, he cautioned about America becoming a nation divided; he warned that a united nation “or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure” if division and fear dominate.

The divisions MAGA Americans foster, and that many Republicans simply accept today, may herald the end of the American democratic experiment AS WE HAVE KNOWN IT. It will be only through unity of purpose (striving for that more perfect union), where our diversity of races and cultures join hands in equal access, with equity among citizens (as treated by our laws, one man/one vote, no corporate personhood), and inclusion of all citizens in full governance participation at all levels, that we can make it through the current stresses and reverse the current downswing.

Draco-II, as divider-in-chief, is only looking out for himself and those that can keep him in power and/or make him and his family wealthier, even as the sustainability of global industrial and consumer civilization faulters. Draco-II is the embodiment of what our founding fathers rebelled against and pledged their lives to halt. The Project 2025’s division and separation mode of fear brainwashed and marketed into the American consciousness, the White Christian Nationalist mode of a single race and cultural supremacy that claims dominion of all, the long-planned legalese manipulation of existing laws by the elitist Federalist Society that has overtaken jurisprudence and is now manifest in the current SCOTUS, the attempt to federally control and rig elections (with Tennessee state-government approval), etc., are all just a portion of what must be overcome to save us from authoritarianism.

Start democracy’s recovery by voting only for Democrats in coming elections, then hound them relentlessly to govern for all.

Truth seers have appeared to humanity throughout history. In their time, in their time’s context, they tried to convey to humanity a way to peace, a path to liberty of the soul, that once grasped can guide us to help God’s plan and fulfill his desires. History shows that humanity then colors and transmutes the seer’s truths into belief systems less-than-complete, with the final result a continuation of the chronic pain and suffering. Less-than-true gets normalized.

The historical truth seers taught that connection with our inner being is the only way out of the chronic pain and suffering, the way to peace on Earth, exalting humanity “to do as I have done, and more”. But humanity then fools itself into a self-righteousness incomplete believing true liberation too hard a task to achieve. If humanity is not the specie to fulfill God’s desires, we will go extinct. Yet, the historical truth seers consistently stated that an enlightened humanity will steward God’s wishes for earth.

When we pay attention, life on earth shows us that symbiosis is how things really work, beauty the result, love the driver. Division, separation, domination, corruption are all human ego faults; we live ignorant of God’s truth, our current way of life therefore unsustainable. Allegiances to faux-saviors are ultimately destructive. Find God within, enlighten yourself, become a steward of God’s desires for earth – not our ego’s. Normalize that path, hard though it is.

No Kings! No dictators! No MAGA! No Project 2025! Planet and people first!

About the time I graduated from high school (1970), things started to take a turn for the worse: division overtook the quest for (a more perfect) union. LBJ had brought in many new and great programs, but he had lied about the Vietnam War: distrust of government ensued. Goldwater fanned that spark into a bonfire when he stated that “Extremism in defense of liberty is no vice”, setting the stage for increased covert lawlessness by federal government officials in pursuit of power and control. Caught in crimes and lying about it, Nixon had Watergate and resigned. More distrust. Reagan then stated that “government is the problem”, steering the narrative and false promise that capitalism and the free market (read: greed & grift) should guide our economic ship. And then Clinton decided to compromise with the free marketeers who had taken over Congress and started the “normalization” of cutting of programs for the poor, supporting tax cuts for the rich who were supposed to “trickle down” the benefits to the rest of us; it never worked. After 9/11, Bush2 then declared war on anyone the government thought as an enemy: violent retributions ended up only getting lots of military and civilians killed and kept America in perpetual wars. Bravado hid more distrust. Worst of all is Fuhrer Draco-II: corruption, grift, self-aggrandizement, manipulation, retribution, racism are his calling cards. Some readers here voted for him.

The vote once protected democracy. But now Reuters reports that “A judge in Delaware, where many big U.S. companies are incorporated, ruled ‌on Tuesday that a small town that allows corporations to vote in municipal elections was not violating the state’s constitution” and that “the beach town of Fenwick Island was not diluting human votes by allowing companies ​and other legal entities that own property to cast votes in municipal elections.” There are more corporations in Delaware than people in the state. If confirmed by the courts, the new precedent means that now corporations representing the rich can not only out-finance people to buy more elections, they can now vote in them, and could theoretically elect themselves as representatives! The best that money can buy destroys democracy.

American democracy is literally on life support. You are the doctors that can heal the sick patient. Get out and vote while you still can: No MAGA, No Kings, common sense, save democracy, people and the planet first!!

Citizens are disgusted when politicians lie to them and then nothing happens to the liar. Draco-II told over 30,000 documented lies in his first administration, and he continues the pace in his second: they’ve become more nuanced, more sophisticated, harder to discern from reality: He and his sycophants are learning. Enough citizens fell for the lies during the 2024 presidential campaign to re-elect Draco-II to a second term. Think about that: a person whose current approval rating is 34%, using the power of the lie, was able to fool enough of the public to get re-elected POTUS.

Think of all the lies it took to pull off the DOGE/Musk federal agency destructions, to establish a private army called ICE, to start a war with Iran, to destroy government accountability by firing federal inspectors general, to destroy environmental regulations, to ensure the preventable COVID deaths of over 400,000 Americans, to purge top military, to justify giving benefits to the rich and powerful while hanging the poor and needy out to dry, to enrich himself, his family, and his businesses with insider trading (making over 3,700 stock trades since he became president) and other nefarious and dubious financial “deals”, doubling his net worth to $7.8B. That is the “art of the lie”: many are about those Draco-II calls liars, traitors, extremists, supposed enemies of the people, like me; declaring everything an emergency is itself a lie.

The Draco-II administration is the ultimate in corruption. The American federal government is being run as a mafia organized crime group with Draco-II as mob boss. If you are loyal to the boss, you get benefits. If you cross him, bad things are going to happen to you. Mob boss Al Capone was eventually brought to justice via the IRS, but the illegal $1.8B loyalist/insurrectionist slush fund Draco-II NEGOTIATED WITH HIMSELF was just amended by acting DOJ Director and Draco-II ex-personal lawyer Todd Blanche to say that Draco-II, his family, and businesses could never be audited by the IRS giving the family empire a get-out-of-jail-free-card forever! Unbelievable corruption!!

America has had corruption in politics before. But, Draco-II is openly and brazenly exploding any previous level of corruption in American political history. It’s not fair, it’s not democratic; the push for fascism/authoritarianism/oligarchy must be stopped. No MAGA! No lies! No Kings! Nature and people first!!

That struggle in America continues, continues with progressions towards “a more perfect union” that often experience setbacks opposed to democracy. The current manifestation of the opposition to equality, diversity, and inclusion of all men is personified in the existence of Draco II, all those who follow and agree with his beliefs, those who support elitism and purity of culture and race, those who are his sycophants and puppeteers, those believing in slavery, and those normalizing lies for gain.

Draco II knows that as long as there is a free press, freedom of speech, freedoms protected by our Constitution, that he and the like-minded cannot ultimately win control, the truth of their corruption and abuses becoming exposed. The battle to squelch free speech, though, is in full swing; good people must rise up and state emphatically at the polls that they believe that “democracy is a pretty darn good thing”, thereby depowering elitism’s supporters. The people must take control of democracy back from democracy-gone-awry, but especially from those that believe that money buys truth, favor, control: laws should apply equally to all, even POTUS.

The American representative democracy experiment cannot be allowed to fail: voluntary consent to be governed must prevail. Therefore, either vote for Democrats (at this point, the least harmful of our two “imposed” governance choices) so that they can be reformed by ALL, or stay home: a vote for the present manifestation of conservatism in the form of MAGA et al must be defeated; an un-hijacked conservatism must be reborn.

For too long now, a deranged pure-capitalist economic system has perpetuated the belief that humanity can and should “dominate” Nature, that men are smart enough (especially now with aid of AI) to know how things really work and therefore should control creation, that money-power speaks the loudest, and every American’s goal should be to “join the rich” in pursuit of mass consumption’s (faux) happiness. All of that is wrong and is leading to ecocide of Earth and destruction of much of life, including the possible self-extinction of Homo sapiens. Humanity’s path is to steward Nature and custodially act in her best interest, which will ensure mutually symbiotic relationships of all of life that eventually cements “peace on earth”. Peace: you know a better goal? Equality, yes; Kings, no.

We know this also because we still have a constitution that supports freedom and democracy – at least for now. Having won the 2024 presidential election, Draco II, his minions and sycophants, and the Project 2025 thugs (the victors) want to change history to reflect their view of the world, changing how the Constitution is enacted, how the laws are enforced, how America is run, how power is wielded, and how corruption is normalized. It is beyond my comprehension to understand how otherwise good Americans could be hornswoggled and brainwashed by a master conman, faux mob boss, and art-of-the-deal maker into believing that “others” were the problem, but it happened and since then American democracy is being destroyed and/or severely damaged by the Draco II administration and his ultra-rich supporters, its survival not guaranteed.

I think I understand the 30 or so percentage of the U.S. population that backs Draco II regardless of what he does, the lies he tells, how many people he hurts, disappears or kills through both his economic actions and his military power, because most of them are of like mind, fiercely independent at the expense of the commons (including the environment), live purely by the ego, and have to have someone or some group to blame their “perceived” misery on. Once Draco II’s power structure collapses, first by the un-election of his MAGA Republican sycophant legislators, and then by his conviction in the Senate after the third impeachment in the House of Representatives, these folks will go silent, again, like they did after the Civil War, but will reemerge, again, whenever possible to push their agenda like they did in the Jim Crow south. They will be with us, but somehow, we have to live with their hatred, bigotry, and fearmongering until new generations can unlearn their passed-down prejudices.

I’m not perfect, American is not perfect, the world is not perfect, but goodness has to prevail over its opposition in the long run, after fits and starts and set-backs galore, continually heading towards a “more perfect union” locally, at the state level, at the country level, and finally globally.

The history of Draco II et al (ultimately the losers) will be written by the victors (those pursuing that “more perfect union”) that treats the commons and all mankind as equal and (hopefully) never again allows Homo colosus’s hubristic ego to monopolize, deface and attempt to destroy democracy (and Nature) in favor of fascist independence like that of Nazi Germany and other more recent dictators and tyrants.

Even though we have been told by the present and ancient sages, saints, seers, incarnates that mankind is destined for greater growth in consciousness, to live at a higher level of mentality and knowledge of Nature’s true ways, to fulfill evolution’s push towards peace and a symbiotic existence, to live sustainably on our only home - planet Earth, we normally do not experience even little touches of those realms, those ideals, that trueness, and now being taught by science to be skeptical of anything not provable through its discoveries, we are a stuck in our present existence, have little or no faith that there is something greater to which we should aspire, and so go about a daily lives unaware. Our normal, standard consciousness contains lot of beauty but also the ugly, love as well as pain, caring and selfishness, empathy and loneliness, good and bad, and all the other dualities we hobble our activities by. Even the infrequent and little touches of a higher consciousness we do get to experience are often just ignored as something aberrant, woo woo, unexplainable and so unbelieved: we miss the opportunities to verify the truth, make real the beyond, ignite the spark of divinity within us into a flame which burns with desire to live by God’s true expectations.

Our human history so far tends to the negative: living as if separated from all other creations and souls, we have made a mess of things. In a way, humanity is self-crucifying. But, all is not lost. Humans can change history into something akin to Nature’s plan, co-create per Nature desires, become the stewards and custodians of Nature’s ways. Faith must be our guide until experience of the higher levels of consciousness we are destined to achieve concretizes the knowledge of our soul that gives the truth of God’s desires. Extreme individualism and selfishness must be voluntarily and purposefully transcended.

We all will experience the pain we have grown – some more than others, yet all the money in the world, the knowledge of world affairs most Americans are usually isolated from, will not save any of us from experiencing the karmic repercussions of our global actions. We can mitigate the depths of those repercussions, change our business-as-usual mindset, and the status quo that is not working, by taking significant and direct steps to undo what we have ignorantly done in the past as we harmed our planet and ourselves. Listening to science will help, but it is only a tool to be used correctly. We must become better students of the Divine. But, Draco II et al must be depowered first before human destiny can go forward.

Over history, the elites became slaves or died as slaves deposed elites. Round and round this cycle occurred; whomever had the best (war-making) technology usually declared the winner. This changed somewhat when a new economic model called capitalism was evolved. Regardless of political system, the power struggle shifted to ownership and protection of personal property and capital; even Communism protected the “state’s” right of ownership. The American Dream was to become rich, protect your property, increase your capital, all while being supported by a set of laws that supposedly applied equally to everyone. Alas, that has never been the complete case of things.

The rich have always had “different” rules under which they lived. Sure, sometimes the “laws” that applied to everyone overtook the privilege of the elite, especially in monopolistic and personal injury situations, but not always. Privilege has had a way to manipulate justice for itself.

We all know about this privilege, but as long as the “system” seemed to be somewhat fair, kept hope alive that the American Dream was true, we just went along with it. But, now, the revelations in (only some of) the Epstein Files shows how integrated the rich and powerful class is into protecting itself above all others, living by a different set of rules, being able to throw money around in a self-protection rachet which bend the laws with the power of the buck. This class of humans is now has a name: the Epstein Ruling Class. And most of America wants it exposed down to the most finite detail; meanwhile the Epstein Ruling Class is doing everything possible to obfuscate and hide the abuses of its power structure. Who will win this battle will also determine, in part, how humanity goes forward into the night of human-induced climate change (overwhelmingly caused by the rich and powerful and the “system” they devised), how limited resources get restricted and who gets them, how energy gets used and for whom, and how the quality of life - even for humans – manifests in the coming centuries.

There is a very inconvenient truth we must face: stop the divisiveness, separation, greed, hate, bigotry, fearmongering, and the desire to control and blame others for our woes, or go extinct. This not how God wants life to be, yet we humans continue to evolve our operating systems into new and more deadly potentialities, thinking we know best. Unity and symbiosis among the living must prevail if we humans are to be part of life on Earth going forward. The human mind is simply not smart enough to know God’s ways and desires, and so our ways of operating must radically change, evolve into access to something higher above the level of reason and intellect of the mind that truly knows the ways and desires of God in all things. But, if we are not completely sincere to the cause of evolutionary growth towards enlightenment – not physical growth of economic systems which ultimately deceive the Divine by inserting our bad ego into its plan for us, life will find another specie to further its desires and designs. It doesn’t have to be that way, though, as we were given choice and have the ability in self-will to access the Divine’s will for us.

8647 and his regime. Fully open the Epstein Files. No limitations; no redactions; no blank sheets. Let’s get to the bottom if his mess. Then clean the slate and go forward into the future with a new focus on ecological sustainability and love and empathy and peace. It all starts with the individual, so you have to do you part; you have to want it. It doesn’t mean you get to ignore the negatives around us and hide in your push for whatever God has in mind for you individually. Making life better for both the individual and the collective must be done at the same time, but you are responsible for playing your string the best you can all the while.

Americans have no idea what the future will bring, especially since we (and the rest of the world that both contributes to, and suffers from, the pain of ongoing human abuses) will have to deal with 1) ecological overshoot (Patton, 1980), 2) human-driven extensive biodiversity loss (manifesting in the current on-going 6^th mass species extinction event that as occurred in Earth’s history), 3) surpassing 7 of the 9 ecological planetary boundaries established to try and keep climate change in check (Stockholm Resilience Center), 4) suffering soil degradation due to the unsustainable massive use of fertility-killing fossil-fuel based fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides in agriculture, horticulture, and everyday commercial and residential use, 5) the unknow effects of using AI, now controlled by the powerful for their personal benefit, 6) the world-wide shift towards dictatorship which automatically results when inequality and poverty levels rise to levels currently experienced (all while stock markets are exceeding all-time highs!), 7) when geopolitical tensions are on the rise and the threat of new wars seem to abound, 8) when the population is polarized and pushed to extremes by the powers-that-be that promote chaos so they can ride in (in America) on their extremist White Christian Nationalism horse and pretend to save the day, 9) when our attention gets fragmented and held by specifically developed technologies and propaganda/brainwashing techniques that are addictive to our psychological wants and desires, all of which also contributes to 10) our species experiencing an exploding and wide-spread crisis of loneliness and depression.

Draco II has opened our eyes. The normalized ways of cheating and manipulation and gerrymandering for political advantage, the subordination of justice to the rich and powerful and corporate monied interests, blame assignment and fearmongering, greed and self-aggrandizement, etc., are thankfully in their death throes. Humans must adapt to the human-evolved poly-crises listed above (drawn from Nate Hagans frankly #126); cooperation, working for the common good, community resilience are the demands of the future. In order for this type of adaptation to manifest ecological sustainability, democracies will have to abound in the future, more localized and bioregional than determined by state or country boundaries - where humans have learned to live (again) as part of nature instead of its ignorant faux-boss.

Humans are supremely adaptable, but future adaptations must benefit of ALL life and not just petty human whims and desires; mutual caring, not domination, must prevail as equality manifests throughout all of human life: no more control of some over others.

Why democracy? Little “d” democracy gives humanity a chance; alternatives lead to extinction, period.

Draco II’s administration just seized all the 2020 presidential voting ballots in Fulton County, Georgia. Why? Because even after Georgia had 3 recounts and found no change in the 2020 presidential vote (Draco II loses), and even after Draco II called Republican Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to tell him to get 11,780 more votes – one more than he was losing by – to win Georgia (Raffensperger refuses and Draco II lost), Draco II just decided he would commandeer the ballots 5 YEARS LATER so that the DOJ and FBI, acting as Draco II’s personal legal brigade, could do their magic on the ballots, like the magic perfected now on the Epstein Files, and find a way to show that Draco II won Georgia in 2020. It will be a lie. It will be against the law, but Draco II doesn’t care about the law, only what he wants.

Recently, Draco II has stated that the Republican states should “nationalize the voting”, “takeover” voting processes, saying that the federal government ought to intervene if states (blue states, obviously) cannot run elections “legally and honestly” (accordingly to him), further claiming that “a state is an agent for the federal government in elections”. Let’s get this straight right now: Trump lost the presidential election in 2020, tried to overthrow the government to stay in power (J6), and is now actively pursuing ways to cast doubt about the integrity of, and thereby rig, the upcoming election in November.

Draco II knows that if he loses the 2026 mid-terms by a large enough margin, he will get impeached (for the 3^rd time) in the House and this time convicted in the Senate, then removed from office (J.D. Vance will be next). The already convicted felon Draco II will be tried for all his law breaking (that SCOTUS allows), convicted, and sent to jail. So, stealing the election is the most important thing for Draco II to do and the only way for him to stay out of jail (although he could start a war like Netanyahu and declare a national emergency). Draco II must be stopped from stealing elections at all costs. All other options lead to dictatorship and an American king.

And as the child grows, as is natural for all of life, it has to learn what works and what does not. Unfortunately, he is already the king, and so his subjects can be harmed by his growing’s errors. From that immaturity, his motivations are not universal, can be selfish, can even mimic a bully.

The child king has been growing for a long time. And during this time of growth, he has had some glimpses of maturity, of spiritual adulthood, of wisdom conveyed by some, yet on the whole, because of motivations guided by the selfishness of his ego, he has not willfully moved to embrace those flashes of wisdom, the totality of love. His growth is now of the quality and type that it is destroying his kingdom. Through his persistent ignorance, he has become a tyrant; his subjects have had enough. A revolution is building; his subjects require a stewardship using higher knowledge than what the child king’s mind normally accesses. The child king must self-evolve, run the gauntlet of Overshoot initiation, spiritually mature into the wise adult king, learning how to repair the damages his subjects have endured, or evolution will find another way to pursue perfection - be guided by a different specie who can become an enlightened king and rule with the love and benevolence and wisdom required.

As indigenous leaders will convey, not all those who must go through the coming initiations will survive. Some are capable to bringing forth a knowledge learned but not yet integrated into the self-governance, finding a spiritual wisdom hidden that was always there supporting the growth; some will not at this time. The child king that we are is either destined for a spiritual life, or destined for replacement; the child king has the ability to recognize that and act on that understanding. The child king must now place his emphasis on awakening to a knowledge above our current level of access, a knowledge and wisdom foretold by many individuals of his kind who found the way to access and live by it, all at different times and different places and within different contexts. These breakers of the glass ceiling to a spiritual life have all told the rest of us kings that we too could find the wisdom within, bring it to the fore, and inculcate that as a new modus operandi. They knew it because they lived it; we can too.

Our creator gave us the ability to choose. So far, we have chosen to stay a child king, but evolution now requires we acknowledge our true destiny and put all our efforts towards achieving that destiny. The push for a mass initiation – a collective “wander” as Kim Stanley Robinson calls it - is growing; a critical mass is building. The task will be hard; there will be much pain and suffering. But, we must still choose to run the gauntlet, achieving the wisdom of the spiritual adult, embodying the knowledge to live on Earth sustainably for the benefit of all life. To know and steward the truth of life as evolution continues its progress is why we were chosen king in the first place.

As part of that initiation process, we must try and preserve small “d” democracy, to improve inter- and intra-communications until such time as we transcend our childishness and ascend into adulthood where we will automatically surpass the current level of consciousness accessed that allows some kings to maintain control over other kings which can only result in the complete destruction of Earth’s symbiotic, balanced, and integral support systems. Voluntarily join the wander.

Accordingly, the following was submitted, but rejected.

TIMES ARE A CHANGING

I was wrong. The convicted criminal Draco II does not want to be king of the United States, he wants to be Emperor of the Western Hemisphere. He is willing to demolish NATO and let Russia have and control Europe (including Ukraine) and parts of the middle east, while China controls the far east and western Pacific. That’s it. Dividing up the world into three main spheres of influence. India being the only exception, while Africa is up for grabs.

Now, if Draco II can be allowed to get away with his deadly shenanigans in Venezuela, he will abdicate any responsibility to help Europe keep Ukraine, turning it over to Russia by starving out any military or financial help previously given to that democracy now under attack. He will have also signaled that it is now OK for communist China to attack and capture a democratic Taiwan and cement their influence in the western Pacific. Smaller nations must kowtow to larger, more powerful ones.

Times are a changing. Dictatorship, retribution, abuse of power, death, and vengeance are in the air. J6 criminals are pardoned by Draco II, and now back marching in the streets saying that they did nothing wrong, while some of them have gone on to commit subsequent crimes. Extremist Republicans and the White House still openly claim that the 2020 election (yes, 2 cycles back!) was stolen and Draco II actually won that election when he was actually beaten by Joe Biden by over 7 million votes and in the Electoral College 302 to 232. Extremist Republicans saying that the democrats’ view of governance is wrong and therefore they should never be allowed to get into power again. In an attempt to re-write history, the White House stating that “the Democrats [were the ones] who staged the real insurrection by certifying a fraud-ridden election, ignoring widespread irregularities, and weaponizing federal agencies to hunt down dissenters”; in other words, don’t believe your own eyes: the criminals were the patriots and the patriots were the criminals. A sitting U.S. Senator, retired astronaut and U.S. Navy captain is sanctioned and threatened for demotion by a former weekend Fox News (??) host masquerading as the Secretary of Defense/War just because the Senator stated the truth in our laws! J.D. Vance’s mentor and MAGA Republican funder, billionaire Peter Thiel, stating that “I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible”, and that “capitalist democracy [is] an oxymoron”, which are examples of where the attack on democracy comes from and why it is being funded. Draco II and extremist Republicans now opening and overtly push all the tenants of Project 2025 and establishing authoritarian rule by destroying democracy everywhere under their perceived spheres of influence. The DOJ is now openly weaponized to fulfill Draco II’s policies and terrorize his opponents and openly defies and ignores a signed law - the Epstein Files Transparency Act, evidently with no repercussions, to protect Draco II (and other rich people) whose character will be disparaged by the release. The U.S. Military is ordered to kill people on the high seas without proof of crime, openly pirate private oil tankers and steal the contents for financial control by Draco II himself, and abduct the tyrant dictator of Venezuela without rational legal justification. And now Draco II threatens Columbia, Cuba, and Mexico. And all this is being done in the name of Jesus Christ, by way of Project 2025 and a minority extremist group of Christian fundamentalist zealots who promote Christofascism and the “rapture” for the “good” guys while the rest of humanity endures years of tribulation before going to hell; none of which constitute the Jesus’ basic teachings about compassion and universal inclusion. The list goes on and on and hits just keep on coming.

The numerous ways authoritarian rule is being pushed by Draco II et al to replace democracy is becoming overwhelming to many people; most people just want to have some peace and quiet and things return to normal. Well, that is gone and it will get worse. The normal ways of democratic rule are dying and will never return to “normal”. Governance around the world operating in ways that are equally the best for the all the people under their jurisdiction is now growing weaker, while the rule of the powerful, rich, and elite is growing stronger. Pretty soon, even here in America, you won’t be able to read statements like the above, unless, as a famous person previously stated “We fight. We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore”, except this time, pro-democracy proponents will be the fighters, and will have to be peaceful, consistent, strong, grow to overwhelming numbers, willing to give their lives for liberty, and never give in to authoritarianism and the likes of Draco II who made that statement on January 6, 2021 to insight his followers to riot at the Capital and stop the counting of the Electoral College votes to certify Joe Biden as POTUS.

And I didn’t even mention ecological and biological Overshoot and climate change, which Draco II calls a hoax. Welcome to the new world of American dictatorship which you voted into place.

In the 3.6 billion years of life’s evolution on Earth, everything thing had agency; everything worked together through birth, growth, death, and renewal for the greater good. Humans have become both masters of destruction as well as masters of creativity, but we don’t act with all of life and Gaia in mind and foremost among our decisions: we think what we are doing now on Earth is sustainable, but it is not, and therefore, the GICC will collapse in on itself. It is a cycle within evolution. If humanity continues to exist in the future (and it is my belief that it will), it will only accomplish that as a transcended, evolved life form, one that has regained its connection to and knows itself by identity as once again a part of life – not its master.

Yes, humans are unique. We know our evolutionary status down deep in our souls. And that is what is eating at us: something is amiss, awry, discombobulated, amuck: we just don’t know what the ache is coming from. Yet, once we are again connected to our soul, we can choose to do something positive about it, whereas other life forms, even those with high levels of intelligence – in some arenas well beyond our own, cannot. Humans are uniquely positioned – evolved - ON PURPOSE by God to be stewards and custodians of life according to Nature’s wishes and desires, biologically and ecologically in tune with Nature, to be co-creators within Nature’s allowances, and not what we ignorantly now assume to be our right to dominate with all the destruction and pollution associated with that paradigm. The cycle of evolution we are currently in is a destructive phase that is birthing a new paradigm of creativity, one that will be equally sustainable for all of life and not potentially suicidal for ourselves and many other species. This is good news; it is not doomerism. The late Michael Dowd calls it “post-doom”: looking beyond humanity’s evolution through separation and ignorance and into a living that is for the benefit of all life. Does this mean we have to throw away all that we have created, all the technologies, etc. that we have created in the period of separation? No, but they must be under control to benefit Nature or the effect of the technology itself - its purpose - will ultimately be negative and will cause suffering.

There is a growing feeling that what all of humanity is doing is useless, worthless, without purpose. Yes, the feelings of doubt and fear and insecurity are real and what we perceive has a degree of truth to it, but it is only part of a greater whole that is working towards life on Earth that is prosperous, symbiotic, and loving for all life. As long as humanity remains separated psychologically, emotionally, integrally, spiritually from the rest of life (and our own souls within!) – the opposite of what we once were, destruction will continue and much pain will be experienced by all of life.

Humanity will not make this shift all at once. Some will evolve to higher knowledge, re-gaining lost knowledge of Nature’s intimate workings; some won’t. But the general progress of evolution will continue towards what is true to Nature. And a critical mass of humanity has to be on board with a Nature-first focus to keep near-term human extinction (NTHE) at bay. Humanity has already interjected boatloads of pollution into Nature’s previously balanced systems, and that mis-balance has to be corrected. Through GICC it will start. It is our choice to aid that re-balancing, or just let Nature do what she does automatically once we are gone, as she did in at least 5 previous global mass extinctions before the now on-going human-induced 6^th mass extinction got underway. It all comes down to choice and humanity’s unique ability effectuate change either in a positive or negative direction, which again depends on how separated we are from the rest of life on this beautiful planet.

My reason is simple: I no longer can bear to be restrained by what judges can say publicly or do outside the courtroom. President Donald Trump is using the law for partisan purposes, targeting his adversaries while sparing his friends and donors from investigation, prosecution, and possible punishment. This is contrary to everything that I have stood for in my more than 50 years in the Department of Justice and on the bench. The White House’s assault on the rule of law is so deeply disturbing to me that I feel compelled to speak out. Silence, for me, is now intolerable.

When I accepted the nomination to serve on the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts, I took pride in becoming part of a federal judiciary that works to make our country’s ideal of equal justice under law a reality. A judiciary that helps protect our democracy. That has the authority and responsibility to hold elected officials to the limits of the power delegated to them by the people. That strives to ensure that the rights of minority groups, no matter how they are viewed by others, are not violated. That can serve as a check on corruption to prevent public officials from unlawfully enriching themselves. Becoming a federal judge was an ideal opportunity to extend a noble tradition that I had been educated by experience to treasure.

My public service began in 1974, near the end of Richard Nixon’s presidency, at a time of dishonor for the Department of Justice. Nixon’s first attorney general, John Mitchell, who had also been the president’s campaign manager, later went to prison for his role in the break-in at the Democratic headquarters at the Watergate complex and for perjury in attempting to cover up that crime. His successor, Richard Kleindienst, was convicted of contempt of Congress for lying about the fact that, as instructed by the president, he’d ended an antitrust investigation of a major company after it pledged to make a $400,000 contribution to the Republican National Convention. The Justice Department was also discredited by revelations that FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover had obtained and disseminated derogatory information about political adversaries, including Martin Luther King Jr.

I joined the Department of Justice as a special assistant to the honest and able Deputy Attorney General Laurence Silberman. Soon after, in 1975, President Gerald Ford named Edward Levi as attorney general to restore confidence in the integrity of the department. Levi, then the president of the University of Chicago, had a well-deserved reputation for brilliance, honesty, and nonpartisanship. Ford told Levi that he wanted the attorney general to “protect the rights of American citizens, not the President who appointed him.”

I organized Levi’s induction ceremony and was there when he declared that “nothing can more weaken the quality of life or more imperil the realization of the goals we all hold dear than our failure to make clear by word and deed that our law is not an instrument of partisan purpose.” For the next two years I served as one of Levi’s special assistants, working closely with a man who was always faithful to this principle.

With Levi as my model, in 1981 I became the deputy United States attorney and chief federal prosecutor of public corruption in Massachusetts. In about four years, my assistants and I won more than 40 consecutive corruption cases. Many convictions were of defendants close to the powerful mayor of Boston at the time. As a result, I received the Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award and was appointed a federal judge.

Some of the cases over which I presided as judge involved corruption and were highly publicized. Most notable was the prosecution of the notorious Boston mobsters James “Whitey” Bulger and Stephen “the Rifleman” Flemmi. Both, it turned out, were also FBI informants. Agents in the bureau, I discovered, were involved in crimes and egregious misconduct, including murders committed by Bulger and Flemmi. I wrote a 661-page decision detailing my findings. This led to orders that the government pay more than $100 million to the families of people murdered by informants whom the FBI had improperly protected. Their FBI handler was convicted twice and sentenced to serve a total of 50 years in prison.

I also presided over a six-week trial of a former speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. After he was convicted of demanding and accepting bribes, I sentenced him to serve eight years in prison.

I decided all of my cases based on the facts and the law, without regard to politics, popularity, or my personal preferences. That is how justice is supposed to be administered—equally for everyone, without fear or favor. This is the opposite of what is happening now.

As I watched in dismay and disgust from my position on the bench, I came to feel deeply uncomfortable operating under the necessary ethical rules that muzzle judges’ public statements and restrict their activities. Day after day, I observed in silence as President Trump, his aides, and his allies dismantled so much of what I dedicated my life to.

When I became a senior judge in 2013, my successor was appointed, so my resignation will not create a vacancy to be filled by the president. My colleagues on the United States District Court in Massachusetts and judges on the lower federal courts throughout the country are admirably deciding a variety of cases generated by Trump’s many executive orders and other unprecedented actions. However, the Supreme Court has repeatedly removed the temporary restraints imposed on those actions by lower courts in deciding emergency motions on its “shadow docket” with little, if any, explanation. I doubt that if I remained a judge I would fare any better than my colleagues.

Others who have held positions of authority, including former federal judges and ambassadors, have been opposing this government’s efforts to undermine the principled, impartial administration of justice and distort the free and fair functioning of American democracy. They have urged me to work with them. As much as I have treasured being a judge, I can now think of nothing more important than joining them, and doing everything in my power to combat today’s existential threat to democracy and the rule of law.

What Nixon did episodically and covertly, knowing it was illegal or improper, Trump now does routinely and overtly. Prosecutorial decisions during this administration are a prime example. Because even a prosecution that ends in an acquittal can have devastating consequences for the defendant, as a matter of fairness Justice Department guidelines instruct prosecutors not to seek an indictment unless they believe there is sufficient admissible evidence to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Trump has utterly ignored this principle. In a social-media post, he instructed Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek indictments against three political adversaries even though the officials in charge of the investigations at the time saw no proper basis for doing so. It has been reported that New York Attorney General Letitia James was prosecuted for mortgage fraud after Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, one of Donald Trump’s former criminal-defense lawyers, questioned the legal viability of bringing charges against James. Former FBI Director James Comey was charged after the interim U.S. attorney who had been appointed by Trump refused to seek an indictment and was forced to resign. Senator Adam Schiff, the third target of Trump’s social-media post, has yet to be charged.

Trump is also dismantling the offices that could and should investigate possible corruption by him and those in his orbit. Soon after he was inaugurated, Trump fired, possibly unlawfully, 18 inspectors general who were responsible for detecting and deterring fraud and misconduct in major federal agencies. The FBI’s public-corruption squad also has been eliminated. The Department of Justice’s public-integrity section has been eviscerated, reduced from 30 lawyers to only five, and its authority to investigate election fraud has been revoked.

The Department of Justice has evidently chosen to ignore matters it would in the past have likely investigated. Some directly involve the president. It has been reported that at a lavish April 2024 dinner at Mar-a-Lago, after executives from major oil companies complained about how the Biden administration’s environmental regulations were hurting their businesses, Trump said that if they raised $1 billion for his campaign he would promptly reverse those rules and policies. The executives raised the money, and Trump delivered on his promise. The law may be unclear concerning whether Trump himself could have been charged with conspiracy to bribe a public official or honest-services fraud. In addition, Trump himself may have immunity from prosecution if similar payments for his benefit continued after he became president. However, the companies that made the payments, and the individuals acting for them, could possibly be prosecuted. There is no public indication that this matter has been investigated by Trump’s Department of Justice.

As a prosecutor and judge I dealt seriously with the unlawful influence of money on official decisions. However, Trump and his administration evidently do not share this approach. After Trump launched his own cryptocurrency, $TRUMP, his Department of Justice disbanded its cryptocurrency-enforcement unit. The top 220 buyers of Trump’s cryptocurrency were invited to a dinner with Trump. Sixty-seven of them had invested more than $1 million. The top spender, Justin Sun, who was born in China and is a foreign national, reportedly spent more than $10 million. Sun also reportedly spent $75 million on investments issued by a crypto company controlled by Trump’s family. It is illegal for people who are not U.S. citizens to donate to American political candidates, and the most that anyone can donate directly to one candidate is $3,500. Ordinarily, the Department of Justice would investigate this sort of situation. There is, however, no indication that any investigation has occurred. Rather, a few months after Sun started purchasing tokens from the Trump-family cryptocurrency company, the Securities and Exchange Commission paused its fraud suit against Sun and his companies pending the outcome of settlement negotiations. (Sun and his companies have denied any wrongdoing.)

Trump is not the only member of his administration whose conduct is apparently shielded from investigation. In September of last year, Tom Homan, who became Trump’s “border czar,” reportedly was recorded accepting $50,000 in cash in return for a promise to use his potential future public position to benefit a company seeking government contracts. The FBI had created the fictitious company as part of an undercover investigation. Typically, an investigation of that sort would have continued after Homan became a Department of Homeland Security official, with the FBI seeking any additional evidence of bribery. However, after Trump took office, the investigation was shut down, with the White House claiming there was no “credible evidence” of criminal wrongdoing. Weeks after the FBI investigation was reported, Homan denied taking $50,000 “from anybody” and has said he did “nothing criminal.” An honest investigation could reveal who is telling the truth.

There is also the matter of Trump’s executive orders. A good number are, in my opinion, unconstitutional or otherwise illegal. For example, contrary to the express language of the Fourteenth Amendment, one order declares that not everyone born in this country is a U.S. citizen. Trump’s administration also has deported undocumented immigrants without due process, in many cases to countries where they have no connections and will be in great danger. Although many federal judges have issued orders restraining the government’s effort to implement those executive orders, some appear to have been disobeyed by members of the Trump administration. Trump has responded by calling for federal judges to be impeached, even though the Constitution permits impeachment only for “high crimes and misdemeanors,” such as treason and bribery.

Trump’s angry attacks on the courts have coincided with an unprecedented number of serious threats against judges. There were nearly 200 from March to late May 2025 alone. These included credible death threats, hundreds of vitriolic phone calls, and anonymous, unsolicited pizza deliveries falsely made in the name of the son of a federal judge, who was murdered in the judge’s home in 2020 by a disgruntled lawyer.

Over the past 35 years I have spoken in many countries about the role of American judges in safeguarding democracy, protecting human rights, and combatting corruption. Many of these countries—including Russia, China, and Turkey—are ruled by corrupt leaders who rank among the worst abusers of human rights. These kleptocrats jail their political opponents, suppress independent media that could expose their wrongdoing, forbid free speech, punish peaceful protests, and frustrate every effort to establish an independent, impartial judiciary that could constrain these abuses. These kleptocrats have impunity in their countries because they control the police, prosecutors, and courts.

In my work around the world, I have made many friends, young and old, who have been inspired by the example of American judges, lawyers, and citizens. They have suffered greatly for trying to make their countries more like ours. Among them are impartial judges who have been imprisoned in Turkey, a brilliant young Russian lawyer who was alleged to be a spy and forced into exile, and a Venezuelan law student who almost lost sight in one eye while protesting his country’s oppressive government. They courageously share what have historically been our nation’s convictions. These brave people inspire me.

I resigned in order to speak out, support litigation, and work with other individuals and organizations dedicated to protecting the rule of law and American democracy. I also intend to advocate for the judges who cannot speak publicly for themselves.

I cannot be confident that I will make a difference. I am reminded, however, of what Senator Robert F. Kennedy said in 1966 about ending apartheid in South Africa: “Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope.” Enough of these ripples can become a tidal wave.

And as Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney wrote, sometimes the “longed-for tidal wave of justice can rise up, and hope and history rhyme.” I want to do all that I can to make this such a time.

Humans are a social specie. How we communicate with each other, between groups, states, countries, societies, etc. are all ways in which we express what we “think” we know, and where we “think” things are going or should go. Communications is not just focused on language, although that is the best representation of our social ways, and is one of the things (along with bi-pedalism and the opposable thumb) that have made humans as creative and impactful was we are and continue to be. But, there are many other ways of communicating internally within a specie or externally between species and the environment, and most of them are generally non-functional in humans at the present time. In his book “Reconnecting with Nature”, Michael J. Cohen presents 53 senses that human beings are capable of, compared to the normal 5 that we generally talk about. These additional senses are levels of communication available to humans, including our relationship to the rest of life and Gaia, how we “know” ourselves and Nature. Yet, most of these senses have largely disappeared from human consciousness. The design ethicist tries to put that back into the decision-making equation.

From now on, all functions of humanity, especially if related to AI, regardless of how bad the collapse of the global industrial and consumer civilization gets, should have the design ethicist function in front and as top priority in every action we take and every decision we make. Period. Full stop. This will force humanity to take Nature seriously, re-focus our interactions with ecology and biology, and declare the agency Nature actually holds, and always had, even as we ignored and/or forgot it in the last couple centuries. Humans have no other sustainable option in our modus operandi.

Before the civil war, often the rich land-owning oligarchs in the south (and occasionally other places) pursued policies that enslaved other people, mostly people of color. Poor white people were caught up in those policies as they were incited to believe they, along with the land owners, they had a God-given right to supremacy. It took a civil war to correct those policies, even as the guiding beliefs themselves endured in a large minority of the losers. In the late decades of the late 19^th and early 20^th centuries, the “golden age” meant that the ultra-rich again tried to force their beliefs onto society and rule the roost as history repeated itself in new circumstances. Occasionally, progress was made that limited the power of those oligarchs (child labor laws and labor unions were established, women’s suffrage and their right to vote were secured, etc.), but it still took a total economic crash of the Great Depression to again change course and right the ship (of course, fighting a war against the fascism of Hitler and Mussolini gave the economy a boost as the ship was righted: war coming to the rescue still doesn’t roll morally well from the tongue). And now, yet again, we find that modern oligarchs use their economic powers to enrich themselves to the extreme, constantly widening the wealth inequality gap, to try and control the economy and the rest of the people trying to just live the American dream. This modern attempt to control, too, will be corrected. How exactly that will unfold is debatable, but dictatorships, repression of the people, slavery – even the economic kind, are all unsustainable and have never lasted over time: people want freedom, will pursue it through as much pain and suffering as required, to emancipate it – again – for all.

How many times does this cycle have to occur before humanity decides to get off the merry-go-round? How many times must freedom be emancipated only to again fall back into subjugation? It seems that now, at this time in Earth’s history, evolution is saying no mas: humans will either permanently evolve beyond the state of consciousness that they have been able to access so far that has led to these destructive cycles of power’s abuse as well as the destruction of their physical and biological support systems, or they will be replaced with a specie that will evolve. We’ve been given choice, and we must use it wisely, but quickly: the mess we’ve made is existential.

Wisely means to voluntarily, purposefully, intentionally evolve to where we can access higher levels of consciousness currently beyond the operating level of most of humanity. The glass ceiling to that access has already been broken by spiritual pioneers throughout the ages that tried, in their times and specific situations, to steer us towards what they knew was the path that we humans needed to follow. Not a specific path, not a specific religion, not a specific way of acting and being, not a specific process, but a goal of attainment of spiritual acuity and access. These spiritual pioneers, seers, sages, saints, gnostics, avatars have all stated throughout history that humans are destined to evolve to access higher levels of consciousness. They knew this because they had done it, they experienced those higher levels. And they told the rest of humanity that they too could access those higher levels of consciousness and that that was what evolution was pushing us towards.

Going forward with the same level of consciousness like we have been doing for thousands of years, driven by the human ego, ensure ours extinction. Relying on a promise that our intelligence will devise something that will “save” us will not happen – not even with AI (AI might even accelerate the destruction because in our ignorance we won’t regulate it and have left it to the power and control of the oligarchs who don’t have humanity’s and life’s best interest at heart): we have forgotten how to be conscious of Nature’s desires and ways of being, which is how the rest of life pursues life, living integrally as a whole, living sustainably (and custodially) with the rest of life.

Semancipation is the emancipation of humanity into a spiritual life, into access of higher levels of consciousness. Semancipation is not evolution of the physical or mental or psychological or emotional, but the evolution into contact with what the spiritual pioneers have all said we humans have always been capable of, and that is to get in touch with the soul within each of us, our part of the whole of existence, the psychic entity within each human that is the spiritual support of the truth of who we are, the true light of knowledge and of God. Semancipation is what guarantees that humanity continues to exist into the future, attaining higher levels of consciousness where we “know” how to live sustainably for the long term on Earth. Yes, as the future unfolds, humanity and the rest of life will still undergo pain and suffering from the karma humans have built up from our ego-driven actions over time (i.e., collapse of the global industrial and consumer civilization), but the higher knowledge will help us to adapt to those circumstances and know what is the best way forward into the future. Semancipation has to become goal one for humans: to spiritually emancipate ourselves from the lower consciousness with its ego-driven actions that have gotten us into our predicament, and into higher levels that sustain, where the soul deep within is brought forward and leads all the actions of each individual human life. It cannot be attained but by sincerity, desireless service to life and God, purposefully, intentionally, voluntarily pursued. It is a long and hard road to follow, but it is something that is required. Grab your reigns, steer your ship, live the spirit within, semancipate.
