During a difficult moment in my recovery, a few years ago, I sat on the patio overwhelmed by pain and fear about whether my injured leg would heal. Then I noticed a butterfly trapped against the screen, exhausted and struggling with a torn left wing.

As I reached out to help her, the words I spoke were the very words my own heart needed to hear: Don’t be afraid. I love you. I’m here to help you.

Today, I’m sharing how this small encounter became a beautiful reminder of our Father’s tender love and His invitation to be still, trust Him, and let His perfect love cast out fear. 💜

After being told she had just two months to live, Kari held on to faith and her reasons to keep going. Having lost her daughter, this grandmother was raising her young grandson and determined to be there for him.

She wrote a children’s book to help him understand cancer and continued seeking support and options for care. Along the way, she experienced what she calls “divine appointments,” connections that brought new possibilities and renewed hope.

Kari’s story is a moving testimony of love, perseverance, and finding strength in faith and community. 💜
