I was 66% accurate on 62 adjusted calls last week (72 before injury/inactive), 73% accuracy for the season (match or beat projection). 45% of all correct calls have doubled, tripled or more their projection.

We'll continue to dial in as the weeks continue, and we'll know exactly what we're looking for by the time the playoff push and playoffs themselves come around.

Thanks for reading and good luck in Week 8! Happy Halloween!

I was 75% accurate on 77 adjusted calls last week (86 before injury/inactives). 32% of all correct calls doubled, tripled, or more their projection.

We now have utilization metrics available from this point forward, and we're learning more and more about each team's offensive tendencies and the roles/playing time for our cornerback options.

Adebo has apparently been displaced by Deonte Banks, and Joey Porter Jr is now listed as a co-starter (it says Joey Porter Jr OR Asante Samuel Jr on the Steelers unofficial depth chart now) with Asante Samuel Jr according to both teams unofficial depth charts.

Definitely SIT both of them and we'll see how this all shakes out and readjust for Week 2.

Paying Adebo 54$ million dollars to be a backup is crazy, but that's the news we got recently, so just wanted to make sure you all knew and had a chance to adjust before these games kicked off.

Thanks for reading and good luck this week!

I was around 72% accurate last season (match or beat projections, Yahoo & MFL). Around 35% of all correct calls doubled, tripled, or more their projection last season.

We'll have utilization metrics starting next week and will have all these cornerback corps figured out soon enough, I definitely erred on the side of caution for Week 1 in general since we have all 96 corners available (no bye weeks).

We'll have a better handle on everything next week and I'll feel far more comfortable recommending any “iffy” corners after we see some real snaps and information this week. Go with safe, known quantities this week and we'll start using “smoke and mirrors” from Week 2 onwards.

Thanks for reading and good luck in Week 1!

Thanks for listening or watching! Good luck with all your bets and leagues this season, and IDP Bets will return for Week 1 shortly!

This article was a special offseason project that was initially published for the Memorial Day Holiday that year.

I'm just posting it here for safekeeping and easy access if ever needed. This is not CB or IDP Bets-related content.

We'll be back next week with a special IDP Bets “season-long bets” episode with me and Adam Marcum (@AdamIDP on Twitter). Keep an eye out for that special episode, and otherwise, we'll see you all for the Week 1 CB Corner and IDP Bets articles!

Have a great rest of your offseason!

The changes are that this information will now be delivered in article format instead of as an audio podcast, and this article will now be part of the S-tier subscription at theidpshow.com.

We'll also be skipping the guest picks this season and focusing on publishing around Saturday each week to thread the needle between giving everyone time to read the article and publishing the most up to date odds and supporting information (injury status, weather, etc).

As is tradition, the article itself will include 3-5 actual IDP Bets/picks, but more importantly, the thought process behind the picks. Teach a man to fish is always preferable to handing that man a fish.

We loved the audio format with guests that we've done the last couple of seasons but the weekly coordination/scheduling was always difficult to pull off among other issues.

The written format also will allow me to edit the published article in real time after publication in case there are any significant updates after publication but before kickoff.

I'd imagine we'll still try and do a degenerate round table for the Super Bowl, but in general, this will be a written article for the 2026/27 season.

Keep an eye on theidpshow.com for this article weekly all season long! Thanks for reading and good luck this season!

For any new readers or those unfamiliar with cornerback streaming, please see the CB Streaming Primer. This will give a high level overview of cornerback streaming and answer many commonly asked questions.

The cornerback corner article itself should be publishing around Wednesday each week, giving plenty of time to scour the waiver wire for ideal matchups each and every week this season.

The cornerback corner article will be directly emailed to everyone who is subscribed and will also be available at theidpshow.com. This article will be free for all as it's always been

I've traditionally done season preview podcasts looking at the best CB options on each team as we approach draft season, but that may not be doable this year as work has cut my amount of free time down significantly as more and more responsibilities are added to my plate.

I'll get those out if possible, but if not then please reference the idpshows rankings at their website for some great suggestions on initial corners to draft.

Personally, I stream all my corners every week so during my upcoming drafts I'll be targeting corners going up against great passing offense in week 1 (Cincy vs TB either side, 49ers corners vs LAR, Panthers corners vs CHI, Browns corners vs JAX, Giants corners vs DAL, Broncos vs Chiefs either side, assuming Mahomes is playing).

The week 1 article will be going off of last season's stats and metrics so it will be a bit of a guessing game, but from week 2 onwards we'll have our traditional stats and metrics to inform our weekly decisions.

The inclusion of alignment metrics last season really took this article to a whole other level and those will be included again this year along with the other normal factors we use to determine ideal cornerback streams each week. The audio primer, linked above, has a list of the metrics we look at each week to help make these determinations.

Thanks for reading as always! Good luck this season and go get those titles!
