Book EMC Flash Day

For Black and Grey: $100-150 (except the large spiral).

For Colors: $200-300 (except the large spiral).

30% of proceeds will go to EMC for the amazing work they do for the community.

When @earth.convergence reached out to me to collab with them on making a flash sheet and 2026 Earth Month anniversary logo, I exclaimed with so much enthusiasm because I’ve been hoping to contribute more in the intersectional environmentalist and solar punk movement. I am so touched my art and reverend for nature spoke to them and now I can be a part of fund raising for this amazing org!

About the Convergence:

The Earth Month Convergence is a youth-led, community gathering rooted in environmental justice, Indigenous leadership, and collective care.

For five years, organizers, artists, educators, healers, and neighbors have come together each April to exchange knowledge, build relationships, and strengthen movement infrastructure.

Through hands-on workshops, shared meals, creative practice, and strategy spaces, the Convergence creates room to reconnect, reflect, and organize for what’s next — together.

Also check out Music 4 the Ppl this month on Oct 23rd at Boyfriend Coop. Another chance to support WMC through partying and celebrating with fellow humans!

I have the utmost honor to design the 2026 anniversary logo for EMC! This spiral represents the interdependence of all beings on this land, how our stewardship is met with reciprocity and how we are connected in our actions.

I have some bitter sweet news to share, I made the difficult decision to part ways with my beloved assistant Rhiannon T_T. Booking volume has subsided a bit to justify hiring an assistant and it felt like the right moment to switch to a different system.

Rhiannon had been the best and she changed my life for the better. I know you all had an amazing experience with her. It was an awesome 5 year run that I couldn’t have done without her.

Please let me know if there are things I can improve on with this new system and thanks for your patience ahead of time if any kinks needs to be worked out as I launch this new way!

I am so excited to announce that the upcyling project I have been working on with my sister in law Taylor (aka SweetTeaRex) is finally ready to be released to the world!

Check out the five completely unique pieces crafted with love here: https://celestelai.com/fruiting-body

Fruiting Body is the labor of love between two artists who share a passion for fabulous clothes and not contributing to more waste.

The muse behind our design, the red thread, is a concept in Chinese mythology that we are all linked by invisible red lines and they represent our connections and fate lines.

Our story began with me admiring Taylor’s ability to create anything from scratch, especially with fabrics, ( 🗣️she is an incredible seamstress!) we started dreaming up these garment that tickle our fancy and how we can create them without adding more to this world of excess waste.

Fast forward I am back in Taipei for my annual homecoming, in the Yung Le fabric market we found this auntie who has been in embroidery for decades and had seen the industry’s rise and fall. It became clear that including local Taiwanese craftsmanship in this project is an essential ingredient.

With true slow fashion ethos, we took our time to find the right shirts and when inspiration strikes, just like fungi when the conditions are right, each of these pieces came into being of their own fruiting bodies!

@linusswampmonster took these fabulous photos of lil ol’ me and I can’t wait to see you in these one of a kind pieces!

Hope you are all keeping warm in this subzero tundra that is NYC. Year of the Horse is upon us and I hope the year of the Snake brought you gentle shedding though I know it was hard for lots of us. Now booking into Spring, I am already feeling the fire horse galloping.

It’s that time again! How is everyone’s Summer so far? I just had an amazing July going back to Taiwan and visiting China.

Here are some new flash! I’m doing something a little different this time, I did a lot of doodles during my travels this July, so a lot of the flash this round are straight from my sketchbook. The plan is that I’d like to make the tattoos look as close to the textures of the watercolor drawings as possible on skin. I hope you would claim them because I think they’d look sick!

On May 17th (Saturday) we are going to debut our Black Spring Collab Flash Day at Zao An 早安! A collaboration between 3 besties, me, Veronica Chen (@vchenica.tattoo) and Helen Ting (@mosswater). The three of us met in NYC going to art school 15 years ago (crazy to think about lol). We have since been living in different places over the years, Helen moved back to Taiwan a few years after graduating and Veronica stayed in New York till a few years ago when she decided to start traveling the world and recently settled in Taiwan, she still does her yearly pilgrimage back to the US to visit family and I’ve been hopping on her tours often. We are having a little girls trip reunion in London and debut this super cute collab!

Black Spring is a series of illustrations hand painted by Helen who is a dear friend of mine and an illustrator based in Taiwan. Helen spent 5 years pouring into this labor of love and it has emerged not only as a painting series with deep story and meaning but also a fabulous Oracle Deck. Veronica and I made 3 flash each based on the cards we pulled. Mine was Makers, Portal of a Glimpse and Garden of Everything. Please choose from these three flash and come to the show! Prices for these designs of mine will be at a lower range than normal bookings at £200-275. At the event Helen will be doing readings from the deck and selling prints, you will be able to view selected works from this gorgeous series. Plus the venue is super cute and has a cafe attached to it, there will also be showcasing of other Taiwanese artists work at this exhibition.

On May 17th (Saturday) we are going to debut our Black Spring Collab Flash Day at Zao An 早安! A collaboration between 3 besties, me, Veronica Chen (@vchenica.tattoo) and Helen Ting (@mosswater). And we are having a little girls trip in London from around the globe.

It’s that time again! Hope everyone is waking up from Winter slumber and enjoying the little signs of Spring.

Here are some new flash! A few words about my new flash. I have been really into how the ribbony texture looks on skin, so I cooked up some ribbon flash and it would be cool to do some freehand ones on large areas of the body with your choice of flowers or objects.

Another flash series I want to introduce is Black Spring! my bff Helen Ting (@mosswater) and Veronica Chen (@vhchenica.tattoo) and I are doing a collab based on Helen’s beautiful Story deck Black Spring. My flash is below and at the appointment I can give you a reading from the mesmerizing deck.

Lastly, on my special interest brain, 本草綱目 -Ben Can Gang Mu the Compendium of Materia Medica of Ming Dynasty China circa 1500s has been the most recent obsession. I have made a few sheets inspired by the it and I have mad examples of them in colors and different shading styles. Feel free to also ask for sleeves in that style or add little people.
