• More meaningful revenue contribution is expected over the following years.

This is strategically important because semiconductor manufacturing requires precision-engineered materials with demanding performance specifications.

B. AEROSPACE & DEFENCE

A dedicated facility involving approximately ₹49 crore investment is being developed for advanced ceramic armour applications.

• STANAG Level 4 vehicle armour qualification.

• BIS Threat Levels 5 and 6 for personnel protection.

• Export approvals and commercial scaling remain important milestones.

India's defence modernisation and global demand for lightweight protection materials offer a potential opportunity.

C. POWER ELECTRONICS

CUMI is developing capabilities in AMB and DBC ceramic substrates.

जिस उम्र में बच्चों को मैदानों में दौड़ना चाहिए, दोस्तों के साथ हँसना चाहिए, परिवार के साथ समय बिताना चाहिए और अपने सपनों की नींव रखनी चाहिए, उस उम्र का एक बड़ा हिस्सा अब स्क्रीन की चमक में बीत रहा है।

बच्चे घंटों सोशल मीडिया पर दूसरों की ज़िंदगी देखते हैं। किसी की खूबसूरत तस्वीर, किसी की महँगी गाड़ी, किसी की विदेश यात्रा, किसी के हजारों फॉलोअर्स और किसी की लोकप्रियता। धीरे-धीरे वे अपनी वास्तविक ज़िंदगी की तुलना दूसरों की सोशल मीडिया पर दिखाई जाने वाली ज़िंदगी से करने लगते हैं।

यहीं से एक खतरनाक मानसिक यात्रा शुरू हो सकती है—तुलना से असंतोष, असंतोष से हीनभावना और हीनभावना से अकेलेपन, चिंता तथा अवसाद तक।

यह हर बच्चे के साथ नहीं होता, लेकिन जब ऐसा होता है, तो इसके परिणाम गंभीर हो सकते हैं।

सबसे चिंताजनक बात यह है कि जिस माध्यम को मनोरंजन, संपर्क और ज्ञान का साधन होना चाहिए था, वही कुछ बच्चों के लिए तनाव, दबाव और मानसिक संघर्ष का कारण बनता जा रहा है।

1. आभासी दुनिया की चमक और वास्तविक जीवन का अँधेरा

सोशल मीडिया एक ऐसी दुनिया प्रस्तुत करता है, जहाँ हर कोई खुश दिखाई देता है। सुंदर चेहरे, शानदार कपड़े, महँगे रेस्तराँ, सफल करियर, घूमने-फिरने की तस्वीरें और हर पल का उत्सव।

लेकिन क्या किसी की सोशल मीडिया प्रोफाइल उसकी पूरी ज़िंदगी होती है?

बिल्कुल नहीं।

अधिकांश लोग अपनी ज़िंदगी के चुनिंदा और अच्छे क्षण ही साझा करते हैं। उनके संघर्ष, असफलताएँ, पारिवारिक समस्याएँ, अकेलापन और मानसिक परेशानियाँ अक्सर कैमरे के पीछे छिपी रहती हैं।

इसके बावजूद किशोर और बच्चे इन चुनिंदा तस्वीरों की तुलना अपनी पूरी वास्तविक ज़िंदगी से करने लगते हैं।

उन्हें लगने लगता है कि दूसरे उनसे अधिक सुंदर हैं, अधिक लोकप्रिय हैं, अधिक सफल हैं और अधिक खुश हैं।

धीरे-धीरे वे अपनी वास्तविक उपलब्धियों को कम आँकने लगते हैं। जो कुछ उनके पास है, उसमें खुशी महसूस करने के बजाय उनका ध्यान उस पर केंद्रित हो जाता है, जो दूसरों के पास दिखाई दे रहा है।

जब इंसान अपनी कीमत दूसरों की लोकप्रियता से तय करने लगता है, तो उसका आत्मविश्वास दूसरों की प्रतिक्रियाओं का मोहताज बन जाता है।

2. लाइक्स, कमेंट्स और फॉलोअर्स की भूख

कभी बच्चों के चेहरे पर मुस्कान लाने के लिए माता-पिता का प्यार पर्याप्त होता था। आज कुछ बच्चों के लिए अपनी तस्वीर पर मिलने वाले लाइक्स और कमेंट्स भी आत्मसंतुष्टि का महत्त्वपूर्ण स्रोत बन गए हैं।

तस्वीर पोस्ट की, फिर बार-बार फोन चेक करना शुरू।

कितने लाइक्स आए? किसने कमेंट किया? किसने देखा, लेकिन प्रतिक्रिया नहीं दी? किसके फॉलोअर्स अधिक हैं?

यदि अपेक्षित प्रतिक्रिया नहीं मिलती, तो कुछ बच्चों को निराशा होने लगती है। वे अपनी तस्वीर हटाने, बार-बार नई तस्वीरें पोस्ट करने या अपनी शक्ल-सूरत और व्यक्तित्व को लेकर असुरक्षित महसूस करने लग सकते हैं।

समस्या लाइक्स में नहीं है। समस्या तब शुरू होती है, जब व्यक्ति अपनी आत्म-मूल्य की भावना को उनसे जोड़ देता है।

बाहरी प्रशंसा सुख दे सकती है, लेकिन जब वही खुशी का एकमात्र आधार बन जाए, तो मन लगातार दूसरों की स्वीकृति खोजने लगता है।

जो बच्चा अपनी कीमत दूसरों के कमेंट्स में खोजता है, वह धीरे-धीरे स्वयं को स्वीकार करने की क्षमता खो सकता है।

3. लगातार स्क्रीन पर रहने की मानसिक कीमत

सोशल मीडिया केवल समय नहीं लेता; अत्यधिक या अनियंत्रित उपयोग बच्चों की दैनिक दिनचर्या और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य को भी प्रभावित कर सकता है।

बार-बार आने वाले नोटिफिकेशन, नए वीडियो, अनंत स्क्रॉलिंग और हर क्षण कुछ नया देखने की इच्छा बच्चे का ध्यान खींचती रहती है।

पढ़ाई के दौरान फोन चेक करना, रात को देर तक वीडियो देखना, सुबह उठते ही स्क्रीन तलाशना और खाली समय में भी फोन से अलग न रह पाना—ये आदतें धीरे-धीरे सामान्य लगने लगती हैं।

इसके परिणामस्वरूप:

• नींद का समय और गुणवत्ता प्रभावित हो सकती है।

• पढ़ाई और एकाग्रता में कठिनाई आ सकती है।

• खेलकूद और शारीरिक गतिविधियाँ कम हो सकती हैं।

• परिवार तथा दोस्तों के साथ वास्तविक संवाद घट सकता है।

• चिड़चिड़ापन, तनाव और बेचैनी बढ़ सकती है।

यह समझना ज़रूरी है कि हर समस्या का कारण केवल सोशल मीडिया नहीं होता। बच्चे की परिस्थितियाँ, पहले से मौजूद मानसिक परेशानियाँ, पारिवारिक माहौल और अन्य तनाव भी महत्त्वपूर्ण होते हैं।

फिर भी, जब स्क्रीन का उपयोग जीवन के दूसरे आवश्यक हिस्सों पर हावी होने लगे, तो उसे सामान्य आदत मानकर नज़रअंदाज़ नहीं करना चाहिए।

4. साइबर बुलिंग: घर में बैठा बच्चा भी असुरक्षित हो सकता है

पहले बच्चों को स्कूल या आसपास के माहौल में बदमाशी, उपहास और अपमान का सामना करना पड़ सकता था। अब यही व्यवहार डिजिटल माध्यमों से भी उनके पीछे घर तक पहुँच सकता है।

किसी की तस्वीर पर अपमानजनक टिप्पणी करना, मज़ाक उड़ाना, निजी संदेशों को सार्वजनिक करना, समूह से जानबूझकर बाहर रखना या फर्जी अकाउंट बनाकर बदनाम करना—ये सभी साइबर बुलिंग के रूप हो सकते हैं।

ऐसी स्थिति में बच्चा केवल किसी एक घटना से परेशान नहीं होता। उसे यह डर भी सता सकता है कि दूसरे लोग उसके बारे में क्या सोचेंगे, कितने लोगों ने वह सामग्री देखी होगी और क्या यह सब कभी समाप्त होगा।

वह स्कूल जाना कम पसंद कर सकता है, दोस्तों से दूरी बना सकता है या अपनी परेशानी माता-पिता से छिपा सकता है।

कई बार माता-पिता बच्चे के व्यवहार में बदलाव तो देखते हैं, लेकिन उसके पीछे छिपे डिजिटल उत्पीड़न को समझ नहीं पाते।

डिजिटल दुनिया में किया गया अपमान भी वास्तविक होता है, और उसका मानसिक प्रभाव भी वास्तविक हो सकता है।

बच्चे को दोष देने के बजाय उसकी बात सुनना, प्रमाण सुरक्षित रखना, संबंधित प्लेटफॉर्म पर रिपोर्ट करना और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर स्कूल या उचित अधिकारियों की सहायता लेना महत्त्वपूर्ण है।

5. मानसिक अवसाद: मुस्कुराते चेहरे के पीछे छिपा दर्द

बच्चों में मानसिक स्वास्थ्य की समस्याएँ हमेशा स्पष्ट दिखाई नहीं देतीं।

कभी बच्चा चुप रहने लगता है। कभी छोटी-छोटी बातों पर गुस्सा करने लगता है। कभी पढ़ाई में रुचि कम हो जाती है। कभी वह दोस्तों और परिवार से दूरी बनाने लगता है। कभी उसकी नींद, भूख या दैनिक दिनचर्या में बदलाव दिखाई देने लगता है।

इन बदलावों के पीछे अनेक कारण हो सकते हैं। इसलिए केवल सोशल मीडिया के उपयोग के आधार पर किसी बच्चे को अवसादग्रस्त मान लेना उचित नहीं है।

लेकिन यदि उदासी, चिड़चिड़ापन, निराशा या पहले पसंद आने वाली गतिविधियों में रुचि की कमी लगातार बनी रहे, तो इसे केवल किशोरावस्था का सामान्य व्यवहार कहकर टालना भी सही नहीं है।

मानसिक अवसाद कोई कमजोरी नहीं है। यह ऐसी स्वास्थ्य समस्या है, जिसमें सही समय पर सहायता और उपचार महत्त्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकते हैं।

सबसे अधिक चिंता तब होती है, जब बच्चा अपनी भावनाएँ किसी के साथ साझा नहीं कर पाता।

वह सोच सकता है कि माता-पिता उसे नहीं समझेंगे, उसकी बात का मज़ाक उड़ाया जाएगा या उसका फोन छीन लिया जाएगा। इसलिए वह अपनी परेशानी छिपाता रहता है।

बाहर से सामान्य दिखाई देने वाला बच्चा भीतर ही भीतर संघर्ष कर सकता है।

हमें बच्चों के केवल व्यवहार को नहीं, उनके व्यवहार के पीछे छिपे भावनात्मक कारणों को भी समझना होगा।

यदि बच्चा स्वयं को नुकसान पहुँचाने या जीवन समाप्त करने की बात करता है, तो इसे गंभीरता से लें, उसे अकेला न छोड़ें और तत्काल स्थानीय आपातकालीन या मानसिक स्वास्थ्य सहायता प्राप्त करें।

6. माता-पिता की भूमिका: नियंत्रण से अधिक संवाद की आवश्यकता

इस समस्या का समाधान केवल मोबाइल छीन लेने में नहीं है।

निश्चित रूप से बच्चों के स्क्रीन टाइम, उम्र के अनुरूप सामग्री और डिजिटल सुरक्षा को लेकर स्पष्ट सीमाएँ आवश्यक हैं। लेकिन यदि बच्चा पहले से अकेलापन या भावनात्मक दबाव महसूस कर रहा है, तो केवल प्रतिबंध लगाने से वह अपनी परेशानी और अधिक छिपाने लग सकता है।

माता-पिता को कुछ बुनियादी प्रश्न स्वयं से पूछने चाहिए:

क्या हम अपने बच्चों के साथ पर्याप्त समय बिताते हैं?

क्या हम उनकी बात बिना बीच में टोके सुनते हैं?

क्या वे अपनी असफलताओं और गलतियों के बारे में हमसे खुलकर बात कर सकते हैं?

क्या घर में उनकी तुलना दूसरे बच्चों से की जाती है?

क्या हम उनसे केवल अच्छे अंक, सफलता और उपलब्धियों की अपेक्षा करते हैं, या उनके मानसिक स्वास्थ्य को भी उतना ही महत्त्व देते हैं?

बच्चों को यह विश्वास होना चाहिए कि उनकी कीमत उनके अंकों, रूप-रंग, फॉलोअर्स या उपलब्धियों से निर्धारित नहीं होती।

उन्हें ऐसा घर चाहिए, जहाँ वे असफल होने पर भी स्वीकार किए जाएँ, परेशान होने पर भी सुने जाएँ और गलती करने पर भी मार्गदर्शन पाएँ।

बच्चों पर नज़र रखना आवश्यक है, लेकिन उनसे नज़रें मिलाकर बात करना उससे भी अधिक आवश्यक है।

7. क्या सोशल मीडिया पूरी तरह बुरा है?

नहीं। किसी भी समस्या का समाधान वास्तविकता के दोनों पक्षों को समझे बिना नहीं निकाला जा सकता।

सोशल मीडिया बच्चों को ज्ञान, रचनात्मकता, नए कौशल, शैक्षणिक सामग्री और समान रुचियों वाले लोगों से जुड़ने के अवसर देता है।

वे दुनिया की घटनाओं को जान सकते हैं, नई भाषाएँ सीख सकते हैं, अपनी कला प्रदर्शित कर सकते हैं और अपने भविष्य के लिए उपयोगी जानकारी प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

समस्या तकनीक के अस्तित्व में नहीं, बल्कि उसके उपयोग के तरीके, मात्रा, सामग्री और उससे बनने वाले भावनात्मक संबंध में है।

एक ही माध्यम किसी बच्चे के लिए सीखने का अवसर बन सकता है और किसी दूसरे के लिए तुलना, दबाव या उत्पीड़न का स्रोत।

इसलिए लक्ष्य बच्चों को डिजिटल दुनिया से पूरी तरह काटना नहीं, बल्कि उन्हें उसमें सुरक्षित, संतुलित और समझदारी से रहना सिखाना होना चाहिए।

8. समाधान क्या है? कुछ व्यावहारिक कदम

पहला—घर में डिजिटल अनुशासन बनाएँ।

सोने से पहले और पढ़ाई के दौरान फोन के उपयोग को सीमित करें। भोजन के समय परिवार के सभी सदस्य स्क्रीन से दूर रहें। माता-पिता स्वयं भी वही नियम अपनाएँ, जिनकी अपेक्षा वे बच्चों से करते हैं।

दूसरा—वास्तविक जीवन को रोचक बनाएँ।

खेलकूद, संगीत, पुस्तकें, कला, प्रकृति, परिवार के साथ यात्राएँ और दोस्तों के साथ आमने-सामने मिलने के अवसर बढ़ाएँ। केवल यह न कहें कि फोन छोड़ दो; उसके स्थान पर आनंददायक विकल्प भी दें।

तीसरा—डिजिटल साक्षरता सिखाएँ।

बच्चों को समझाएँ कि सोशल मीडिया पर दिखाई देने वाली हर चीज़ वास्तविकता का पूरा चित्र नहीं होती। उन्हें ऑनलाइन गोपनीयता, साइबर बुलिंग, भ्रामक सामग्री और डिजिटल धोखाधड़ी के बारे में भी जागरूक करें।

चौथा—तुलना के बजाय आत्मविश्वास विकसित करें।

बच्चों की तुलना पड़ोसी के बच्चे, रिश्तेदार या किसी लोकप्रिय सोशल मीडिया व्यक्तित्व से न करें। उनकी अपनी प्रगति, प्रयास और रुचियों को महत्त्व दें।

पाँचवाँ—मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर खुलकर बात करें।

यदि बच्चा तनाव, अकेलापन या निराशा महसूस करता है, तो उसे कमजोर न कहें। उसकी भावनाओं को गंभीरता से लें। समस्या बनी रहने पर योग्य मानसिक स्वास्थ्य विशेषज्ञ की सहायता लें।

छठा—स्कूल और समाज को भी जिम्मेदारी निभानी होगी।

विद्यालयों में डिजिटल सुरक्षा, भावनात्मक स्वास्थ्य और साइबर बुलिंग पर जागरूकता कार्यक्रम होने चाहिए। बच्चों को यह भी बताया जाना चाहिए कि परेशानी होने पर सहायता कहाँ और कैसे प्राप्त की जा सकती है।

बच्चों को यह सिखाना आवश्यक है कि जीवन की सफलता दूसरों से आगे निकलने में ही नहीं, बल्कि स्वयं को समझने, अपनी क्षमताओं को विकसित करने और स्वस्थ रिश्ते बनाने में भी है।

उन्हें यह विश्वास दिलाना होगा कि जीवन सोशल मीडिया पर दिखाई देने वाली लोकप्रियता से कहीं बड़ा है।

किसी तस्वीर पर कम लाइक्स मिलने से उनका मूल्य कम नहीं हो जाता। किसी परीक्षा में असफल होने से उनका भविष्य समाप्त नहीं हो जाता। किसी मित्र के दूर चले जाने से उनकी पूरी दुनिया खत्म नहीं हो जाती।

बच्चों को यह सिखाना होगा कि उनकी पहचान किसी स्क्रीन पर नहीं, उनके व्यक्तित्व, संवेदनशीलता, प्रयासों और वास्तविक जीवन के अनुभवों में विकसित होती है।

You post something on social media, and your happiness depends on likes and comments.

You keep pleasing people, sacrificing your own happiness, hoping they will recognise your worth.

You work hard, achieve targets, and help others, but feel disappointed when nobody acknowledges your contribution.

You buy expensive things, display success, and make decisions to maintain your image in society, even when those things don't bring you genuine happiness.

Even spirituality can become a means of seeking recognition when you want others to see you as wise, peaceful, or spiritually advanced.

And in everyday conversations, you feel compelled to prove that you are right, knowledgeable, or important because disagreement feels like a rejection of your worth.

Different situations, but the same underlying hunger — “Please recognise me. Please appreciate me. Please tell me that I am good enough.”

Slowly, you stop living your life and start performing for an audience.

Their appreciation makes you happy. Their ignorance hurts you. Their criticism shakes your confidence. Their approval becomes your reward, and their rejection becomes your punishment.

The real tragedy is not that the world fails to recognise your worth.

It is that you stop recognising your own worth without the world's approval.

There is nothing wrong with appreciation. The problem begins when appreciation becomes a necessity rather than a pleasure.

When you need others to confirm that you are good enough, you give them the authority to decide how you feel about yourself.

So ask yourself:

If nobody praises your work, can you still feel satisfied?

If someone disagrees with you, can you still feel secure?

If nobody notices your success, can you still enjoy it?

If someone fails to recognise your worth, does your worth actually decrease?

Remember, your worth is not reduced by someone else's inability to recognise it.

You don't have to stop working hard, achieving great things, helping people, or enjoying appreciation.

Buying a stock means buying ownership in a business.

Yet, many investors enter the stock market expecting their money to grow in a day or two. They buy a stock today, expect it to rise tomorrow, and become disappointed when the price moves in the opposite direction.

This is where the problem begins.

The problem is not always the stock. Sometimes, it is the perception with which we buy it.

When we approach the stock market with the mindset of making quick money, we focus on price movements. But when we approach it as business owners, we focus on the quality, growth potential, financial strength and valuation of the business.

That difference can change the entire investing journey.

1. A Stock Is Not Just a Symbol on a Screen

Behind every stock ticker is a real business.

A company has products, customers, employees, manufacturing facilities, technology, competitors, cash flows and future opportunities. Its management makes decisions, invests capital, expands capacity and tries to grow the business.

When you buy its shares, you become a part-owner of that enterprise.

Think about this: if you purchased a manufacturing business with your own money, would you expect its value to double within two days?

Of course not.

You would study its products, market demand, profitability, debt, management and growth opportunities. You would understand that building a successful business takes time.

Why, then, do we forget this logic when purchasing shares of the same kind of business through the stock market?

The stock market makes ownership easy to purchase, but it should not make us forget the fundamentals of ownership.

2. The Market Has a Price. A Business Has a Value.

A stock's price can change every second. Its underlying business usually develops over months and years.

In the short term, prices may be influenced by market sentiment, speculation, liquidity, news and investor behaviour. In the long term, business performance and the price paid for that performance become increasingly important, although market valuations can remain unpredictable.

A good company is not automatically a good investment at every price.

Suppose a business earns ₹10 crore annually. If its profits grow consistently over the next five years, its business value may increase significantly. But if you purchase its shares at an excessively high valuation, your investment returns may still disappoint.

Therefore, successful investing requires three important decisions:

• What business should I own?

• At what valuation should I buy it?

• How much time might the business need to realise its potential?

Ignoring any one of these questions can weaken an otherwise sensible investment decision.

3. Wealth Creation Begins Before You Buy

Many investors start thinking about wealth creation after purchasing a stock.

A better approach is to begin before the purchase.

Study the business. Understand what it sells and why customers need its products. Examine revenue growth, profitability, debt, cash flow, capital requirements and management quality. Look for sustainable competitive advantages and a credible path to future growth.

Then examine valuation.

Is the market already pricing in years of expected growth? Is the company trading at a reasonable multiple compared with its prospects and risks? Could its business deteriorate even if the industry grows?

These questions help distinguish a genuine investment opportunity from an exciting market story.

The objective is not to predict every price movement. It is to make a decision based on evidence rather than excitement.

4. Give the Business Time, but Never Stop Thinking

Patience is essential in investing, but patience does not mean holding every stock indefinitely.

A promising business may need several years to expand its market, improve margins, launch new products or benefit from an emerging industry. Investors who expect immediate results may exit before the business has an opportunity to deliver.

However, time alone does not make an investment successful.

A company can suffer from poor management, excessive debt, weak demand, falling profitability or failed expansion plans. In such cases, continuing to hold simply because you believe in long-term investing can be a mistake.

Vipul Organics (BSE: VIPULORG) is a specialty chemicals company known for pigments, dyes and organic intermediates. Its membrane arm is AdiMem Technologies, based at the Saykha facility in Gujarat — a 24,633 square metre integrated site that houses both pigment and membrane operations.

AdiMem manufactures the membranes itself. It does not only assemble bought-in sheets. It uses a proprietary Reverse Phase Transition process to cast membrane sheets, then rolls them into spiral, hollow fibre and tubular elements. Quality control and performance testing sit on the same site. The company describes itself as India’s first fully indigenous membrane manufacturer, covering microfiltration through reverse osmosis.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 2026

AdiMem bought Aquaporin’s production-grade casting, coating and drying platform in Denmark and is relocating it to Saykha. That adds end-to-end in-house capability for reverse osmosis and nanofiltration sheets — the precision-critical step — instead of importing sheets or depending on outside suppliers.

𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬

Industrial water: effluent treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, zero liquid discharge and pharmaceutical effluent.

Semiconductors: ultrapure water, photoresist filtration and high-purity chemicals.

Data centres: cooling-tower make-up, blowdown recovery and side-stream filtration.

Batteries and electronics.

𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚-𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

Semiconductors are listed as a target on AdiMem’s own site, but the proven work so far is industrial water. Fab ultrapure water needs about 18.2 megohm resistivity and sub-parts-per-billion silica and metals, and fabs usually qualify suppliers for years. No public fab references have been disclosed. Data centres look more realistic in the near term. Cooling-tower blowdown recovery is standard membrane work, and AdiMem’s FlowSkid systems already cover that duty. The Aquaporin platform is production equipment previously used by a Danish high-purity membrane company.

𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬

No specific membrane order has been announced in the last two to three months. The September news was the Aquaporin purchase, not a customer sale. Management has said converting AdiMem from pilot installations to contracted volumes is a priority for this fiscal year, and in February the managing director said the company was hopeful of order flow in the coming fiscal. The one concrete commercial order on record is older and outside membranes: the first order for an automotive intermediate in June 2025, with cumulative exports of that intermediate crossing Rs 40 million by November 2025.

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬

The membrane division is real, vertically integrated and ambitious. The stated target is about 25 percent of company revenue from membranes and membrane-based solutions within three years. Commercial sales of reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration membranes were announced in April 2026, but contracted volumes have not yet been disclosed. The next clear public signal should be whether September-quarter reporting shows membrane sales moving from pilots to contracts.

Castrol India is not a meme, and it is not a hidden AI pure-play. It is a 40-year lubricant franchise that sells about 8 litres a second in India, pays most of its profit out, carries almost no debt, and now sits under a parent whose cooling fluids have cleared NVIDIA’s bar.

Last close, 2 October 2026: ₹199.04. Market cap about ₹19,700 crore. 52-week band about ₹170 to ₹207. One-year return still roughly flat. Three-year return much stronger. The stock has moved off the ₹170 low. It has not broken out.

What it actually sells

The earnings engine is still oil.

𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯 is the two-wheeler workhorse, the rural and workshop brand.

𝐆𝐓𝐗, 𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐂 and 𝐄𝐃𝐆𝐄 cover cars, including full-synthetic grades.

𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 is shampoo, wax, glass and interiors — the step beyond the bonnet.

𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 is hydraulics, metalworking and plant oils, growing faster than auto.

𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐎𝐍 is the EV thermal and e-transmission range.

Management has been aiming to grow volumes at 1.5–2x a market that itself grows only about 3–4.5%. Rural outlets and industrial mix are the levers that show up in the accounts today.

The NVIDIA line, stated cleanly

On 18 August 2026 Castrol announced that 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐆𝟐𝟓 and 𝐏𝐆𝟐𝟓𝐓 had been validated against NVIDIA’s requirements for AI factory and data-centre infrastructure.

These are 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭-𝐭𝐨-𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐩 cooling fluids. Fluid runs through cold plates on CPUs and GPUs in a closed loop, so less water is lost to evaporation. NVIDIA’s review covered corrosion resistance, thermal stability, dilution-water quality, propylene-glycol purity, and compatibility with metals, plastics and seals.

On 1 October 2026 Castrol launched 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄, an integrated thermal-management offer for data centres, with cooling technology tested with NVIDIA and Intel.

Two limits matter.

This validation sits at 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥, not as a disclosed Castrol India revenue line. India management has talked about parent products, NVIDIA certification and local trials. That is optionality. It is not the June-quarter profit.

The balance sheet, present tense

This is why income investors stay.

𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐭 is effectively nil. Debt-to-equity about 0.03.

𝐑𝐎𝐄 about 56%. ROCE has run in the 60% area across cycles.

𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐱 is light. The asset is brand and distribution, not a refinery.

𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭 is high. Interim dividend of ₹6.25 (ex-date 11 August 2026) plus the earlier final of ₹5.25. Trailing cash yield at ₹199 is roughly 5.5–6% depending on which last-twelve-month dividends you count. Screen yields near 4.4% are using a narrower definition.

𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭, if execution holds: still debt-free, still high cash conversion, dividends that can grind up with profit, and room to fund EV fluids, auto-care and any local thermal work without dilution. The Stonepeak deal for 65% of global Castrol, announced December 2025 and aimed at a 2026 close, has not been framed as a leveraged recap of the Indian listed company.

The scoreboard

June 2026 quarter, calendar year:

Revenue ₹1,871 crore, up 25% year on year.

Profit after tax ₹348 crore, up about 43%.

Half year revenue ₹3,417 crore, up 17%. Half-year PAT ₹590 crore, up 24%.

Margin expansion came with price hikes and a better mix, not just volume.

FY25 revenue was a record ₹5,722 crore, with volumes up about 8%.

How to hold the story

Do not underwrite a 10x because NVIDIA signed a fluid. Underwrite this:

The option got cleaner on 18 August. It is still an option.

What can go wrong

Base-oil and crude spikes if price hikes lag.

Rupee weakness on imported inputs.

Longer drain intervals, and EVs, slowly eating ICE oil volume.

Valuation already prices quality. At about 18.5x trailing earnings and 10x book, this is not cheap for a lube company.

Data-centre fluids can stay a pilot in India for years.

Global ownership change is noise until the deal closes.
