4 pairs of Wrist Worms are FINALLY available. I’ve got a pair of this quality (Merino Wool, Mohair & Silk) myself and it’s my favourite pair so far.

I promise to make more, feel free to leave a comment or send me an email (sandrajuto@gmail.com) if you have a special request. Thank you :)

Pia and I have settled in Sweden. My family has celebrated mum turning 65 and I made two sandwich cakes (got no recipe, sorry, I’m not good at following them nor writing down what I’m doing).

This post will become very, very personal, Pia and I are moving. The past months, I’ve been exposed to extreme bullying, broke apart completely (didn’t act my best either thanks to this), yet have ne…

It’s Sunday and Pia & I are enjoying the thunderstorm. Right now she’s purring on my lap. She’s such a cool cat; not afraid of many things, never hiding when people come over, plays fetch, eats and drinks well. And looooves to play. She will be 12 this fall.

Friday night, I was drawing some thank-you-cards for orders placed in my online shop.

Fresh basil is a must in the summer.

Good old things, got a lot of books I haven’t read yet. The roller-coaster life the past 2 years has been like the worst reality-show you can ever imagine. Two exes in the same building, like… Don’t shit where you eat.

Plan to upcycle lots of my clothes, these might come in handy. Haven’t bought clothes for about 6 years, keep finding so much my style and size on the streets.

Beginning of May, my parents were here. Straight from the airport to Ritrovo to share pizza. Obligatory.

Brunch at home.

I cooked us dinner; Bifteki, asparagus, potatoes & tzatziki.

I took them to Kírkē and we started with the most amazing chickpea soup ever. Could eat it every day.

And then this. My parents know my friends, who own the deli, already since… forever.

Obligatory cheese soup at the farmers market at Boxhagener Platz. Johan joined us.

Mum and I made a sandwich cake and invited my friend and neighbour Kristin and Johan. So far, all of my non-nordic friends like it a lot, being a bit sceptical at first.

On the last day, we had some hotpot down the street and didn’t need much to eat for the rest of the day.

It was so great to have them here, the best week so far this year. And I could eat, which is something I had problems with for 9 weeks (heartache, gone now!).

I know, I know. It’s still Summer, but I’m making space in the shop for Fall, these pairs of Wrist Worms are on sale (a black plain pair, like the navy blue, is available, too). Got no real plan for fall, yet, but most likely there will be some new Wrist Worms, they are addictive to make and to wear. Thank you :)

I started taking longer walks again, meeting old friends, making new friends. Last night, a new friend of mine asked if I wanted join her to a DJ set. When she told me the DJ’s name, I screamed YES Y…

Last time I posted was on April 14, and that evening something happened which made me feel worse and worse. A month ago, I was punched 3 times (head, cheek & shoulder, really hard, people wanted to call an ambulance) by a woman who is obsessed with me. 3 weeks ago, I was pushed by a person I know (knew?) well. Last week, I was hit on the chest by a random homeless guy. Sandra, why didn’t you punch back? Why would I, they are not worth it, and I don’t believe in violence unless it’s a matter of life or death. In my world, not giving people like this my attention, means self-respect.

3 weeks ago, I started taking care of myself better. Much better. For 9 weeks, I was a puddle of sadness, hopelessness, unhappiness, trying to ruin myself and all my relationships (they all refused to let that happen, except for one). When negative thoughts try to occupy my mind, I tell them to go away and it really works. By saying no to people asking for too much, I say yes to myself. Been helping a lot of people during these 9 weeks, now it’s about time to help the person being me.

I’m outing very personal stuff here, hoping it might encourage some of you to trust yourselves enough to say no to people who don’t respect your boundaries anyway. Am trying to learn how to say no without giving an explanation. People who want to take things personally, take things personally, and it’s not our problem.

Walking, taking pictures, reading books, and staying at home (safe environment) more calms me down. Still going outside to see people - I’m a social person - but in a city like this, it’s almost impossible not to meet crazy people.

What’s your calm-down-strategy?

There’s a lot going on, at the same time it feels like nothing happens. A lot going on in the world and around me, but it’s like I don’t get things done the way I want to, even though my new meds are…

It’s not super easy to find what I fell in love with anymore. I’m speaking about Berlin - the rough, unpolished city it used to be, where people could afford to live and really live, not just survive.

Yesterday, I decided it was time to declutter and organise my books by colour to make that corner look calmer. Instead, I started to clutter the wall next to my desk, to cover some of the pink wall.

I painted this wall pink because we had pink paint left-overs from painting the balcony some years ago. Didn’t take long before I got tired of it, and putting up that shelf didn’t make the colour better.

So, I decided it was time to use some good old wallpaper I bought in the early 2000s. Made it look better, but…

…then I found a big pile of stuff I’ve kept to hang somewhere in the future. Time to cover the pink wall, had taken a pill (ADHD) some hours earlier and the focus was there. Been covering more of the wall today, and will continue with the upper part later this week.

It’s a mix of art from friends, family pictures, rose prints, postcards from museums etc etc.

Definitely didn’t declutter - but that’s typical me. I say one thing, and then I do the opposite.

Mini-me made by Evie Barrow back when I lived in Gothenburg.

Been thinking a lot about my online presence and why I don’t post as much as before.

For a week, I’ve been on new adhd meds (concerta, same active substance as ritalin) and am now able to focus for hours instead of max 15 minutes. Instead of forgetting my to-do-list (or re-writing it…

There are quite a few different characters living in my building - here are some of them. Not sure if they are our neighbours, or our guardians.

This was me during December and January. A piece of mortadella glued to an icy surface, not being able to get up, though my icy surface was a warm bed, where I stayed during daylight, living like a v…
