Here’s some new flash. I’m doing special deals on the placement examples below:

In colour or black and white! More placement ideas on my ‘want to do’ highlight.

Here’s some tattoos I made recently that I’m excited about. I would love to do more like this!

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝

I’ve been working away on next year’s calendar, too. I’m almost done with the design phase, then I’ll play around with colours and format everything. I’m pretty bad at the colour part because I print riso and it always turns out way different from what I think it’ll look like, but it’s a cool part of the process.

Does anyone know any nice riso studios in London? I’m still going with my folks in Edinburgh (and I would struggle to switch from them because I’m very attached) but the shipping costs add up and it would be nice to pick up prints in person. Let me know if you know anywhere.

Here’s two of my favourite spreads in their WIP phase:

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝

Speaking of WIPs, I have been knitting! I finished my jumper. I knitted one sock after lots of ripping back and starting over. I know I need to make the second sock but now I want to make a beanie. I bought 4 skeins of this one yarn which I think was probably a mistake because it’s really itchy but I think I’ll just make them anyway and maybe wear a cap underneath the beanie…?

I will update you when there’s news !

Book in with me below if you like. I think I’m going to take a month off at the start of the new year and I probably won’t tattoo in London in December since I’'ll mostly be in Scotland so now’s as good a time as ever. Also, if you have a specific date in mind that’s further in the future than the options on my form you can just let me know and I’ll try to make it work. Thank youuuu!

That’s a really nice salad I had in Berlin with pickled peaches, changed my life. In the first pic is my new book, Wolf Hall, and ofc I had to bring back the most massive book I could find to fit in my tiny bag. It’s good so far! I’ve been reading lots of nonfiction recently (my fav) and historical fiction is not usually my lane so it’s a nice departure. I’m keen to find new essay authors to get stuck into, pls let me know if you have any in mind.

Thanks for reading! Hope to hear from ya xo

^ bad pic of one of the temp tattoos I got made. Maybe I put some up for sale on my shop ?

Anyway that’s it for now. I am going to plan a few more guest spots for the end of this year/start of next year so it’s a good time to email me with your suggestions. Nyc has been very popular and I hope to come sometime next year for sure, but let me know where you are and I’ll see if I can do a trip 🫡

Enjoy your weekend :-)))

book in with me

I’ve also decided to start utilising a waitlist for those of you wanting notified when I’ll be in different places. I’ll still be keeping you updated here, but I figured it would be helpful to be able to reach out directly when my books open for guest spots. It also helps me gauge interest for certain cities to know if I have enough potential clients there. If you would like to be on my waitlist email me at seeingpaths@gmail.com with your city in the header and I will get back to you when I know!

I will be staying put for June. Here are my working dates:

I did a market in Chiswick a few weekends ago and got to meet some lovely people and see some healed tattoos. If you came, thanks! I’ll be doing a couple more markets over the next few weeks.

First I’ll be doing Nottingham Queer Market at the Project Gallery on April 17th (this Friday!) between 5 - 10pm. Will have plenty of prints, stickers, calendars and zines for sale! I’ve never been to Nottingham before, hope it’s nice lol

Next I’m doing N4 Makers Market in London on April 29th at Abney Hall in Stoke Newington. It’s on between 11 - 5pm with some food & drink stalls too. I know some of you also live in east!!! So I will see you there…..

Some recent tattoos I’m really proud of, maybe they serve as inspo for your next? It’s a great time of year to get tattooed before the sun properly comes out and we get all sweaty lol

A few pages from my secret flashbook:

* * * ** * * *

Thanks for reading this far! It’s been a busy month which has been lovely, but I’m still getting myself established in London, so if you’ve been tattooed by me or like my work I’d love it if you could tell other people about my stuff. This goes doubly for guest spots so if you know anyone where I’m travelling to who might like a tattoo let them know! I tend to get about 50% of clients through word of mouth so it really helps me out, cheers :-) :-) :-)

I’ll leave you w this song I have been listening to loads, Eric Clapton’s cover of Michael Jackson’s cover of Behind the Mask by my beloved Yellow Magic Orchestra. Greg Phillinganes has a great cover of this too. I think the MJ cover is technically the best song but we had to put some respect on Eric. I could write paragraphs on YMO’s cultural impact and personal impact on my life but maybe we save that for another day?

In this edition of the newsletter I’ll have my April dates, some guest spot information and a fun machine tattoo offer. I’ll also have some flash & tattoos I’ve done recently that maybe you’ve seen and maybe you haven’t ;-)

Also, I can’t include videos on here, but if you haven’t seen already, I finished my most recent animated flash project! Please do click here to have a look at the results of my hard work… (I learned how to use procreate dreams for this !!)

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆟 𓆝

In April I’ll be working April 3rd, 4th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 14th, 17th, 18th, 21st, 24th, 28th in London. I will be here for the whole month(!) I realised how many trips I’ve been doing recently when my flatmate mentioned I’ve basically been going away every other week. I’ve just been in Paris, Newcastle and Manchester so it’ll be nice to have a little break, but I have Canada and Bergen coming up in the near-ish future (summer!)

book here!

In April I’ll be offering some cheap machine tattoos to help me practice! I’m offering them for £60 this time around, which mostly just covers my supplies and studio fee. I’ll be tattooing any design from the sheet below, and they’ll be repeatable. A few rules, black ink and arm & leg placements only. (If you really want a specific design that isn’t crazy complex you can email me and maybe I’ll do it with machine for cheap also. Email me!) This is an April only offer so do get in quick, I’ll probably only take on 5 or so slots for these. :-)

Who wants to know what I’ve been reading??? (I can picture you behind the screen saying “I do! I do!!”) If you’ve been subbed to the newsletter for a while you’ll know I picked up and quickly put down Crash by JG Ballard, which I made another attempt at and enjoyed quite a lot in the end! Still need to finish the Pauline Kael book I’ve been reading on the side. My friend Susie who I was visiting in Newcastle inspired me as she’d printed out and taped her To Be Read list to her wall. I plan to do this too although I am a slow reader, so perhaps I’ll only get one or two done. On my list at the moment: Pale Fire by Nabokov, Heartburn by Nora Ephron, and I would like to read one of the dusty music books at the bottom of my bookshelf - I will let you know how I get on. (reccs also appreciated, please write in!)

Lastly! I’ll be tabling at Open Art Market on March 29th (that’s a Sunday) on Chiswick High Road between 11-4 selling prints, cards, stickers and the like. If you come along bring me a little snack and I’ll give you a free sticker or something lol. Hope to see you there!

I’ll be tattooing in Glasgow on February 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th. I’ve had lots of demand so far (thanks!) so I’m imagining these slots will go pretty fast! I’ll also be going to Paris later on in Feb, that’s the 23rd, 24th and 25th. I am more or less fully booked for this trip but I am still waiting on a couple of deposits, so if you are interested, please do submit a form and I’ll let you know if anyone drops out!

Next on the guesting list is Manchester in March and potentially Newcastle, although I might just go there for fun. If you are dead keen on being tattooed in Newcastle, write in and I’ll probably schedule a work day in just for you. :-)

Big news: I have a website! Here you will find many things - flash, sketchbook scans, my print stuff, all that. Check it out here!

Also, this will probs be my last calendar update, but the second batch is being printed as we speak and will be ready to ship next week. I’ve sold about half of this batch so now’s a good time to get one if you were thinking about it. I probably won’t make any more after this :-)

calendars!

One of my goals in 2026 is to be more multifaceted with what kind of work I’m putting out. I’m shifting focus to make some more print work and illustration, and I have a couple of markets on the lineup already. Stay tuned to see if I’ll be at a craft fair in your city ;-)

Also, if you are thinking about hiring someone for some illo/print work, I’m taking commissions! No job too big/small. Send me an email, we can have a chat.

What I’m Reading and Knitting (most exciting part of newsletter)

I’ve been up to some cosy activities this winter. Here are a few words on what I’ve been reading. If you’ve been tattooed by me recently I’ve probably talked your ear off about these:

• Notes on the Making of Apocalypse Now- Eleanor Coppola - very much enjoyed! Pitched in the blurb as a movie book but it’s much more so EC’s personal experience of the shoot, looking after her kids and musing on her position in life as the wife of a famous director. Often it’s really funny, she has a very precise voice.

• Kiss Kiss Bang Bang- Pauline Kael - my current read. On the back one quote describes Kael as ‘bitchy’ and I thought that was a pretty reductive statement (the book was published in 1968 so it’s not surprising someone would describe a female critic this way). However, she does love to chat shite! I am finding that I have no frame of reference for her takes because almost all of the movies she writes about are flops from the 60s that have not stood the test of time. She is really fun to read though, I’m enjoying it. Also I am getting emotional looking at these book covers (I have the one with the lips on it).

• Crash- JG Ballard - Speaking of book covers, I really wanted to get the one with the nipple/steering wheel, it’s beautiful. Maybe seeing this cover a lot misled me though because I thought it would be sexy and it’s actually incredibly gory and bleak. The bleakness has really put me off but the movie adaptation is one of my favourites ever so I’ll come back to it.

• The Thursday Murder Club- Richard Osman - received as an xmas present from my friend ! I read a few pages and it’s cute, a little bit too Quirky perhaps. So I’m putting it aside for the moment. Since it was a present I am contractually obligated to read it so I will fill you in when I do.

To round things off, a knitting update for you all. I finished my Cloud Sweater! I am a so proud. It fits just fine, but I’m working on a raglan sleeve striped jumper now with more positive ease, I like a baggy situation. I also made a little hat but it’s so little that it kind of hurts my head if I wear it for too long.

Thanks for reading homies. Love you all <3

Also wanted to give a quick thanks to everyone who’s bought a 2026 calendar! I’ve sold out of my first batch and the next is up for pre-order. I am very grateful for your support !

thanks for reading! see you in the new year * * *

In December I’ll be working in London on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. I’m testing out how I find working Saturdays, and might swap it out for Mondays in January if I feel like I’m missing my weekends too much. So if Saturday is your only free day now is a good time to get booked in!

I’ll also be guesting in Cardiff on January 15th & 17th! Please tell your Welsh friends.

I’ll be taking a little break over the holidays, probably just the 24th-26th. Then it’s back to business til January! I’m scheming some places I’d like to guest in the new year, and have met some lovely tattooers recently who have invited me to their studios so I really have no excuse. On the shortlist is Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol and Brighton, and of course I’ll need to come back to Glasgow at some point soon. I’m going to try to go to Toronto this coming year too, although I’m scared because I feel like Canada is the kind of place where if you can’t drive you may as well die and of course I cannot drive. This is a silly line of thinking when I’m going to a big city which definitely has public transport though, lol.

I have a new flash project on the go - another animated flash series. Basically, I drew a few frames to form a looping animation, and I’ll be tattooing each of them on different people. I did one earlier this year which you can see on my instagram and I found it such a cool project, how it linked strangers with matching-not-matching tattoos. I’ll be tattooing these at my minimum price so you can also get a little deal :-)

I can’t attach videos to this, but the frames are on this flash sheet, and I’ll be posting the fully animated thing in a week or so, so look out for that !

When I was writing this draft I didn’t have anything to close with, but I have to share with you this delightful video that came up on my youtube front page: an update on Theo Jansen’s Strandbeests, which are these large sculptures made of tubes and zip ties engineered to ‘walk’ across beaches while being propelled by wind. I think it’s really cute how the artist talks about them as if they were actual living creatures (they do seem alive!). Like this in the video’s description: “Every spring I go to the beach with a new beast… In the fall I grew a bit wiser about how these beasts can survive the circumstances on the beach. At that point I declare them extinct and they go to the bone yard.” There’s a really cool pterodactyl looking one in this update, and that beast can fly!

I will make a dedicated update when I have my exact work dates, but at the moment I’m working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, so that will be continuing on to December (the end of the year! Fried). I might open up a Saturday or two too.

Speaking of the end of the year, I’m working on next year’s calendar (!) I promised I would have it ready to go before the new year which I did not do last year, let’s see if I can still hold myself to it. Here’s a couple of b/w previews, the real versions will be in colour :-)

Also, new print just dropped, my first a3 sized one and it’s really nice I think. As well as on my online shop I’ll have some for sale in the studio, plus I’ll have some t-shirts there too (you can buy those here!) Anyway, here it is:

They’re riso printed so they look even more vibrant irl. Thanks to Out of the Blueprint in edi who always print my stuff for me, they’re the best :-) check out my store if you haven’t already, I have plenty of nice things on there!

Ok, no more self promo, thanks for reading so far. Everything’s been really hectic with my move, but I’ve been staying grounded with a couple of routines. This has mostly been knitting, and watching Seinfeld and Home Movies. I was telling someone last night that Home Movies is the best cartoon ever, and it’s all on youtube, so you should go and watch it. The first season is basically unscripted and has a real DIY podcast vibe about it, like the voice actors were just sitting around and chatting. It’s about an eight year old boy who makes movies with his friends. Very slice of life and really funny if you’re a movie nerd. It’s a fairly small production team and the animation is janky but I feel like it reflects the kind of homemade, bunch of friends hanging out and working on a little project type vibe that the show is all about. H Jon Benjamin’s performance as Coach McGuirk is iconic but I think the actress who plays Paula is the secret mvp, I love every scene she’s in.

And yes, I finished the jumper I’ve been knitting for like 6 months. I’m not going to lie to you… it looks bad in real life and I may be allergic to the yarn I used. But I’m still happy to have done it! I’m going to start a new one today so I’ll let you know how I get on.

thanks for reading! :-)

… from Glasgow to London ! August will be my last month tattooing in Glasgow. I’ll be working on the 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd and 24th. If none of those dates work for you, please fill out a form and note your August availability and I’ll see if I can fit you in another day. During that month, I’ll also be tattooing in Brussels on the 28th and 29th. You can book in for both spots below! London books will open closer to the time.

Here’s some other exciting updates:

tees & more for grabs at Out of the Blue Print Expo 2525 !

If you missed me at the zine fair last month, you can catch me selling some bits at this :-) I worked with Out of the Blue Print to make some tees, you might have seen some pics of them on my stories. I hand printed them all, excited to have the fruits of my labour finally up for sale! It’s at the Drill Hall on Dalmeny Street in Leith on the 23rd of August, come by and see the market and exhibition where they’ll be showing the works of past & present residents of the print studio. There’s also some workshops and artist talks on through August, drop by the studio if you’re in Edinburgh this month.

Once the Print Expo is done I’ll have them properly up on the website for everyone (probs for preorder). Looking fwd to it :-p

some hand design ideas for you:

a bit of chat

That’s pretty much all the work related info I have for this month. I’m mostly spending my time slowly packing away my things, but I’m also working on an animated segment for my friend’s film and another animation project. I’m trying to do more of that kind of stuff (hope to do another animated flash soon), if you’re an animator in London, hmu! I’d be glad to know of any drawing groups, resources, any of that. I’m trying to meet people when I move ofc, so if anyone would like to suggest their book club, walking group or anything of the like, do let me know.

Oh, I’ve been listening to this one album - Jonathan Goes Country by Jonathan Richman - on a loop for the past week. I never really liked his song everyone knows, Roadrunner, or the lesbian bar one, so I’m glad to have found this. Since She Started to Ride is the hit on this album for good reason, but I love You’re Crazy For Taking The Bus, which feels like a kids song with its delightful call-and-response chorus between Jonathan and the band, and The Neighbours, which features another lovely dialogue of a less jovial kind. I’ll listen to his album where he sings in Spanish next.

What else? My lovely friend Niamh (who is hosting me during my London guest spot despite being very ill) and I watched The Intern. Would give 4/10 stars.

That’s it! Speak soon! :-)

JULY DATES + BOOKING

In July, I’ll be working Wednesday through Saturday every week in Glasgow, but I’m also open to doing other days if none of those work for you. Just pop a note in the last section of the form and I’ll see what I can do.

I’ll be back in London too, woohoo! I’ll be working the 30th and 31st, plus the 1st and 2nd of August. Can’t wait to be back :-)

NEWS !

Firstly, I’ll be at Glasgow Zine Fest selling some prints and swag on July 5th and 6th at Tramway. It’s open between 11am - 6pm both days and there will be loads of stalls with cool stuff to flip through and admire. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone will be showing off :-)

Also, my grad film Midnight at Mickey’s will be screening at Queen’s Park Arena on July 17th, alongside The Grand Budapest Hotel! I love going to the outdoor cinema there every year so it’s very exciting that my own wee film will be showing (in the same festival as Azealia Banks no less (I think she has since cancelled her appearance this year but isn’t that wild to think about??)). If you’d like to come and see what I make outside of my tattooing work, you can get a ticket below. I think you can get free tickets? The pricing system is unclear to me but I hope to see ya there!

I’ll also be having a little solo exhibition (my first ever btw!) at Verse in July. Opening date tba, but I’ll have some prints up as well as that painting you may remember me talking about many months ago. It’ll be on til the end of August(? again tbc) so drop by and get a yummy drink sometime.

Here’s a little unfinished sheet for you. Thanks for looking :-)

SOME NICE THINGS

I did a trade recently with one of my favourite painters, Orla Kane. I got this beautiful painting in exchange for a tat. Have a look! I love it.

I also did my first tramp stamp yesterday. It was so fun and I’m jazzed about how it turned out. Thanks Jess!!!

I also saw this nice bug and found out it’s a ladybird larvae, it’s so wicked cool looking. Being spiky is so random. I showed this picture to my flatmate and she got scared because she thought it was exotic/poisonous.

Thanks :-)

Glaswegians, I’m back tattooing in a couple of days, and my books are now open if you’d like to get tattooed in June. I also have a couple of slots left in March, on the 30th and 31st, if you’d like to fill them. I’d be very grateful! My wallet is hurting after renting in London :’)

I’m also almost fully booked for Berlin but I have two morning slots left on June 25th and 26th. Tell your friends! I’m looking forward to trying currywurst! I’m also planning to do a couple of spots in July, definitely back in London again, and I’m finalising dates in Bergen during that month too. Hope all my nordmenn clients had a great Constitution Day hehe

I will also give you a sneak peek of some new flash, which I hope to finish so I can post it tomorrow, but don’t hold me to that lol. Disregard the sketches in the gaps round the edges, unless you want them tattooed, I’m down

Other than that, I’ve been getting really into crosswords. I do the NYT one and I’m only good at the Mondays because I don’t know anything about American sports or television networks, but it’s really gratifying to get one done. My best time is like 14 minutes, we’re working on it. I am really good at the mini though.

That’s all I have to say really, so looking forward to hearing from anyone who’d like a tattoo, but I’d also like to ask if anyone has a great tune or album to share with me? I’ve just been listening to my liked Spotify songs and they’re getting repetitive. I even got back in my Weezer phase, so please, I beg u. Friends, if you send me a nice recommendation I’ll match it with something you might like.

Goodnight!

In April I’m adding Thursdays to my work week - so that’s April 10th, 17th and 24th. Tap the button below to book in - May dates also coming soon :—)

I’ve really been enjoying making more stipple work, so thanks so much to everyone who’s booked in for one of those! Doing lots this month. I’ve also done a few designs drawn up in appointment, which feels really organic, and it’s fun to work with u to make something we’re both happy with. I’m working on a flash book of designs I won’t be posting online for people to flip through on the day, if you’re spontaneous like that.

Here’s a couple bits of unseen flash with some placement ideas:

Also, I wanted to note that almost all of my animation flash has been tattooed! Thank u to my clients :-) Only one left… big discount for whoever gets this one!

Lastly, here is a comic I made yesterday about what I’ve been up to since I’ve been settling in to the new house (which is nothing really lol). Anyone else sooo tired all the time?

Oh, I wanted to do some recommendations, but I will keep it short. I just read Revolutionary Desires, a book by my lovely client Xuanlin Tham, which I very much enjoyed. I scarcely read any texts on film criticism when I was in uni (sorry to my film studies lecturer) and when I did they were very dense, so reading a film book that’s shorter and easy to digest was excellent. I’m now reading Mao II by Don DeLillo which I started out really enjoying, but although DeLillo’s writing style is lush it becomes gratuitous when his characters are so pretentious. So I am struggling a bit to get through this one.

And I’ve been watching Mission Hill, which was cancelled after one season but it’s sooo good, so I’m rationing myself to like one episode a week. Thanks to Struan for reccing this excellent show! Watching this got me in the mood for some 1998 - 2001 type indie rock emo jazz fusion, and I have been listening to this outstanding Karate album, The Bed is in the Ocean. My fav tracks are There Are Ghosts, Diazapam and The Same Stars. Also look how chic and elegant and Y2K this album cover is.

Thanks for reading! Hope to hear from you soon :-)))))

I'll be working Fridays and Saturdays this month (and until the end of May, when I'll be back in Glasgow). Possibility to open up some other days too, so if you want tatted and that doesn't work for you, give me an email and I'll see what I can do :-) I’m working at Ottilie near Bethnal Green, thanks to the studio for having me!

Here’s my latest flash sheet, plus some placement ideas and bonus flash:

I’m really excited to do some more stipple work this month (the textured dotty pieces) and I’ll be offering these at a reduced rate. Here’s some healed pics of Levi’s stipple tat I did 8 months ago and it looks lovely. Shoutout to sophia for taking these pics <3

What else to say? I actually wrote a really long bit about being a brown person in the tattoo scene but it felt vulnerable so I’m saving it for a rainy day lol. I’m writing this pretty late so won’t go into any big updates, just wanted to get these early access dates out before books open for everyone on thursday, but I’m excited for my move and to meet all you lovely london folks! Anyone got recs for life drawing, writing groups, general activities, food, gyms…? North london or nearish ideally? Would be much appreciated !

Thanks for reading! See you in the next one :-)

what I've been up to

animated flash project - did one of these many moons ago and excited to make another with these ripple designs! Each frame forms a looping animation. I'll be doing these a lil cheaper than usual, especially if you add one on in the same session as another tatt ;-)

Mickey's at gsff25 - my grad film, Midnight at Mickey's, will be screening at Glasgow Short Film Festival ! The fest is on between March 19th - 23rd. Come thru if you're interested in my non tattoo work! It's a short animated comedy, and my first time making an animated short, so I'm thrilled it got selected. I'm working on another one as we speak, so stay tuned for updates :-p!

into:

- 'tattoo studio playlist' which is not music I typically listen to during my day or would necessarily choose to listen to while working - buuuut vibes in the stu are very important to me. Video game music, minimal lyrics, mix of ambient and jumpy tunes are what I consider to be the ideal tattoo studio music, although I am partial to this steely dan mix that I used to play every day for weeks on end in the stu... sorry clients or should I be saying you're welcome?!

- overhearing - not even in a nosy way. I did a spell of commuting without listening to music recently and it was so good, provides endless entertainment and knowledge. Yesterday I overheard the majority of a date (tepid vibes between the pair) and a barista telling his coworker that every time we wake up from a dream our brain compensates for any detail it doesn't remember and that this continues throughout the day, meaning the dream we remember at the end is basically completely different from what actually happened. Not sure if this is real or not, write in your opinions pls

oh, and here's a diary comic to finish us off. This is where my comics will live for the future.

Thanks for reading and hope you have a fortunate march!

WHAT I AM DOING

- you have probably heard as I finished it a couple of months ago - but I finished my first big print project, 2025 calendars! I’m really happy with how they’ve turned out, thanks so much to everyone who bought one! It’s been really cool to design an object with a function outside of just looking pretty.

- working on a big painting of a gooseneck bottle which I hope to hang in the studio - no pic, it’s in early stages lol

- knitting some gloves. First one is finished apart from needing to weave in the ends, take a look:

WHAT I AM INTO

- eating a bell pepper like an apple. Normally I hate bell peppers when they're mixed into other meals but they're very fun to eat like this

- musician/band lore. I've been going down rabbit holes into the history of bands I barely listen to and it's so interesting to me. Glaswegians, did you know oasis were discovered at king tut's?!

- beach goth aesthetic. Tie dye, cookie monster snapback, cat with the inverted cross on its head etc etc. Bring it back!

- reading album reviews. I find it hard to form opinions on stuff and even harder to write about them in depth, so music reviewers are like wizards to me. They’re short-form for those of us who find it hard to commit to spending time on a book and they make you think about what you’re consuming - plus they often wrap everything up in a numbered score. Very satisfying. Here’s one I just read on Hymie’s Basement’s self titled album, which sounds exactly like what you hear when you think of the phrase ‘white people music’ but it’s sooooo good

Thanks for reading, hope to tat / chat to you all next month :———)
