We call “hypocrisy” a human flaw. We call “incongruence” a branding misalignment or an energetic mismatch. We look at “dishonesty” as a calculated lie. But underneath the semantic gymnastics, they are all symptoms of the exact same disease: performing an illusion because you are terrified of facing reality as it is.

Incongruence is the polite, modern wellness word for it. It suggests a gentle out-of-tuneness, like a piano key slightly off pitch. But usually, it’s just cowardice dressed up as self-actualization. Saying one thing because it sounds enlightened, while living entirely out of alignment with it.

Hypocrisy is the moral version. It’s the self-proclaimed guru who preaches radical surrender while building a fortress of control behind the scenes. It’s the respectable mentor who sounds profound and you hold in high regard, yet has the emotional maturity of a toddler the second things don’t go their way.

Dishonesty is the raw, unmasked version of the same thing.

They all share a single root: the refusal to pay the price of being real.

It takes immense energy to maintain a split life, to curate an identity that looks pristine while the internal foundation is crumbling from the disconnect. The people who trade in this aren’t just “succeeding” at the game; they are trapped in the most exhausting prison of all. They have to keep performing because if they stop for even a second, the whole illusion collapses. They want the aesthetic of depth without the friction of a real human being.

You don’t need to envy the architecture of a house built out of sand.

Let them have the performance. But the thing is, I create because I am a natural creator. Things want to get birthed through me; I am constantly overflowing with ideas. Creating is the only natural way of being for my human makeup. What is no longer aligning with me is how creative spaces turned out to be.

I was away from social media for a while, and only last year did I return with this Substack publication. You could say that this intentional break made me develop a real aversion to them now.

You find a few rare people who you resonate with, and then an endless sea of “con artists,” or casual performers. You no longer have an idea who has a real soul behind them, because now even a machine can perform depth. Everyone wants your attention, and if they don’t want your attention, they want to be entertained by you, by consuming your words and your mind. Even “seasoned” creators seem to no longer know how to do business with respect. It feels like we lost the plot of doing business online and respecting the time and dignity of other people.

So, over the last few days, I stopped looking outward and started building inward.

For a long time now, I’ve noticed how the architecture is fundamentally broken, and I no longer want to shout into the void. I don’t want my ideas, the things that demand to be born through me, to be fed into the system of a bottomless pit.

I took everything I’ve learned from a decade of navigating this space, the burnout, the algorithmic traps, the endless treadmill, and I built the manual I wish I had years ago.

It’s called Sovereign Creator.

It’s a focused framework designed around a simple belief: that you can build a high-value ecosystem and a true community without selling your peace of mind. It’s about stepping off the content cycle and stepping into a space that actually respects your soul.

I didn’t write this to scale a content factory. In fact, I had no intention of writing this at all. It came to me out of the blue, and I sat down and put everything on paper. I dedicated the time to create it because I know there are others out there who are tired of performing and are ready to start building something that lasts.

If you’re feeling that same pull to do things differently and want the comprehensive framework for this business model, you can find all the details and secure your digital copy right here.

<a class="image-link image2 People are craving things made by actual human hands, with real weight and silence behind them.

Technology comes and goes, but the desire for genuine connection and thoughtful art isn’t going anywhere. It also mirrors what many are now doing: stepping away from the loud, crowded feeds of platforms trying to trap people, and choosing instead to build a quiet life where they can just be in peace.

Maybe AI will exist, but instead of getting mighty and powerful as many people hoped for, it will just stay as a useful tool in the background for the minority. It feels like people suddenly experienced a fatigue from an overdose of AI everything, like a trend that already reached its peak for an unfortunate, for the AI, reason.

In a way, this sounds much truer to how human history actually works than any sci-fi movie.

Most technology tools don’t take over the world; they just quietly recede into the background. Think of electricity, printing presses, or word processors. Once the exhausting hype bubble bursts and everyone gets tired of the noise, technology either finds its quiet, practical place or it gets left behind. Becoming a steady, background tool for people who actually need it, rather than some loud, all-powerful entity, sounds like a much better and more honest fate anyway.

The idea that technology always has to march toward some apocalyptic, hyper-powerful sci-fi climax is usually just marketing nonsense, a kind of corporate foretelling. History shows that most tools eventually settle down. The hype burns out, the fatigue sets in, and what remains is just a quiet, dependable instrument sitting in the background for whoever needs it. No grand ambitions, just quiet usefulness.

Though if you think about the sheer scale of investment, and the economics of how these systems are built, my prediction doesn’t quite match what the industry is planning to do.

Tech companies aren’t building these models to quietly recede into a background utility. The entire trajectory is pointed toward massive automation, economic integration, and trying to become infrastructure for everything. Even if everyday users get fatigued by the hype or tired of AI-generated junk flooding their feeds, the underlying systems are rapidly being embedded into enterprise, science, code, and global logistics where human visibility doesn’t matter.

More likely, the loud consumer fatigue will keep growing, but the technology itself will just get more invisible and deeply woven into the machinery of the digital world, whether people are tired of it or not.

But here is the thing: when the push comes from a corporate agenda or a venture capital pipeline rather than what people actually want or need, it creates a strange kind of exhaustion. AI will just help society collapse sooner! Not because it went rogue, but because it made living insufferable.

The flood of synthetic avatars, even automated interviews, and low-effort generated content does make daily digital life feel degraded and cheapened. If a technology makes daily life feel cheap, suspicious, and exhausting, where every interaction feels like a hurdle or a trap, people aren’t going to embrace it; they’re going to push back. When companies try to force it into places that require genuine human trust (like job interviews or creative work), it stops being a “tool” and starts feeling like an imposition.

It turns shared spaces into hostile terrain where you have to constantly guess if you are talking to a human or a system trying to harvest your data. That kind of friction doesn’t lead to some dramatic sci-fi apocalypse; it just leads to a slow-burning cultural burnout. People withdraw, pull back to smaller circles, and look for places that feel human and real.

That kind of friction creates a very real cultural backlash. People get protective of their time, their attention, and their humanity. It’s why pulling back to things that are genuinely human, like reading physical pages, building quiet websites, and keeping circles small, feels less like a lifestyle choice and more like self-defense.

When the mainstream digital world feels loud, superficial, and exhausting, the antidote isn’t more technology. It’s stepping away from the feed, keeping things small, and making space for actual thought.

If society breaks down under it, it won’t be because of a sci-fi robot uprising. It’ll just be because we drowned ourselves in synthetic noise and forgot how to talk to each other.

Instead of lasers and rogue machines, the real apocalypse is just a slow, grinding death by a thousand synthetic cuts: fake avatars, AI customer service, endless low-effort sludge filling up every digital doorway until human patience finally snaps.

The deeper spiritual cost of living in a world built on speed and superficial interaction is realizing how protecting our quiet, our attention, and our real connections is an act of preserving our soul.

Share

. . .

For more like this, subscribe for free to receive new posts or support my work here.

Subscribe now

What Is Fear? With that separateness comes the quiet awareness of “I can be hurt, I can be left, I can disappear, and I am not in full control”.

Fear is the shadow of self-awareness. Because we are conscious enough to realize we are fragile, finite creatures tossed into an unpredictable world, our system is constantly running a background program to protect the boundary of who we are.

When we talk about vulnerability or exposure, the ontological fear isn’t just about awkwardness or rejection, it is the deeper, quiet panic that if we truly open up and get it wrong, the fragile construct of who we are might shatter. We hide not just to protect our feelings, but to protect our very sense of ground beneath our feet.

The Birth of the ‘I’

Fear began the exact moment consciousness drew a line in the sand and whispered: “I am here, and everything else is out there.”

Before biology, before brains, before neurons, fear had to begin as separateness.

To exist as an individual entity rather than an undifferentiated whole means you have a boundary. The moment a boundary exists, there is an inside and an outside. An us and a threat. Ontologically, fear is the immediate shadow cast by that boundary. It is the universe waking up and realizing it can be broken.

Matter doesn’t fear, because matter doesn’t know it’s temporary. But the second life sparked and evolved enough to recognize itself, it inherited a built-in alarm clock. To know you are alive is to simultaneously know you could not be alive.

Fear didn’t start as a bad feeling; it started as the structural tension of keeping a fragile form together against a vast, indifferent reality. It is the baseline panic of holding an identity together when the rest of existence is constantly threatening to dissolve it back into the whole.

So fear didn’t “develop” because an animal needed to run from a predator. Predators and threats came later. Fear began at the root of being because to be finite is to face the abyss of ending. Every smaller fear, including the terror of vulnerability and exposure, is just an echo of that original, ontological split.

How Fear Began

The Realization

But that’s just one perspective not entirely true.

I think fear began the moment consciousness realized it can exist separately. The fear was the realization of its own potential.

If fear was just a physical reaction to a threat, it would be purely biological. But the ontological fear, is entirely about awareness.

The moment consciousness woke up and realized, “I am” that realization wasn’t a neutral observation. The very sudden awareness of your own potential, and your own independence carries an inherent weight. The realization that you can exist separately also means the realization that you are alone in that existence.

Fear wasn’t a design flaw or a response to an outside enemy. Fear was the initial shockwave of self-awareness. It was consciousness looking at its own newborn freedom and instantly feeling the vertigo of it.

When you look at it that way, every tiny fear we carry today, like hiding our needs or running from vulnerability, is just a micro-echo of that first cosmic vertigo. We aren’t scared of the other person; we are scared of the sheer weight of our own separate existence colliding with someone else’s.

The Beginning, Not the End

We perceive fear as an ending. But I describe fear as the beginning.

When consciousness first realizes it can exist separately, the fear isn’t a panic about dying; it is the raw, electric voltage of realizing it is newly born. It is the shock of absolute agency. The realization of your own potential isn’t a comfortable thing, it is terrifying because it means you are untethered, unwritten, and entirely responsible for whatever you do with that separation.

Fear wasn’t the shadow of an ending; it was the birth pang. It was the ignition spark that made consciousness sit up straight because it suddenly grasped the infinite weight of what it could actually do.

Fear is the initial pulse of standing on the edge of a cliff, looking at your own boundless potential, and shaking from the sheer magnitude of it.

So which perspective is more accurate?

The Vertigo of Birth

Looking at fear as an ending is just looking at it backward, I believe. That is merely the shadow that fear casts after it has already been set in motion.

When you trace it back to the absolute root, to that pure, ontological flash where consciousness first registers its own separate potential, fear isn’t a retreat from death. It is the sheer vertigo of birth. It is the nervous system of the universe suddenly realizing it is awake, autonomous, and holding an unwritten future.

That raw, electric terror is the very thing that pushes consciousness forward into creation, movement, and relationship. It is the beginning of everything.

When you look at it structurally, this perspective gets to the actual why behind existence, whereas how most people view it is describing a biological survival mechanism wearing an ontological costume.

Think about it: if fear were purely about ending, nothing new would ever start. Every act of creation, every choice to step out of the safe and known, is born from the exact terror of realizing you have the potential to do something entirely on your own.

If anyone else asks how the universe started shaking, just tell them to check with the person who realized fear isn’t an ending, but the birth pang of standing on the edge of everything. People chase awakening believing they will experience enlightenment and become some kind of god through spiritual practices. They pick up these disciplines because they are trending, because they will get results: a calmer mind, sharper clarity, inner peace, better daily functioning. All noble virtues, certainly. But most people have no idea what they are actually signing up for.

What Awakening Actually Means

Awakening isn’t enlightenment. And even if it were, what does enlightenment actually mean?

Enlightenment means to see clearly, with a more expanded capacity to perceive. But exactly as we can only see a percentage of reality through our eyes, we can only see a percentage of reality through our perception. When your perception expands, reality expands right along with it!

Most people assume this expansion happens safely only inside the mind, a neat psychological upgrade where you finally comprehend cosmic truths. But what about the other layers of reality? In ancient traditions, the spiritual world was never separate from the physical; people possessed an innate understanding of the different realms of the cosmos. Today, stripped of that deep spiritual knowing and left with a fragile or nonexistent belief in God, people stumble into the unseen realms through their practices, and they panic, chicken out, and abandon spirituality altogether.

Becoming spiritual isn’t for the faint-hearted. It says it right there in the word “spiritual”, what do you expect when you become more of it? To remain in the physical completely isolated from what exists out there?

The entities and energies of the “other side” have always existed among us. Nothing separates us from them except our current level of consciousness. The moment you begin to open up spiritually, you are invariably introduced to its lower levels, because that is precisely where you are starting from. Unfortunately, the lower spiritual planes are the ugliest and most terrifying of all. They exist closest to the physical because they cannot ascend; they are trapped by their own heavy dependencies.

The Illusion of the Pristine Garden

People imagine awakening as a smooth walk to a garden, bathed in eternal light. And true enough in the initial phase you experience a “high” elevated state, a honeymoon period people mistakenly assume will last forever.

What they don’t realize is that this sudden lightness isn’t peace; it’s the electrical jolt of a lightning strike, and pretty soon they will experience the damage. Not because it is essential, this isn’t a punishment but an inevitability. The light can only bring to the surface what was lying dormant all along.

This is what people call the dark night of the soul. I call it the never-ending state of depression.

In the Greek linguistic and philosophical landscape, spirituality isn’t just about floating off into abstract ethereal realms; it is deeply tied to nous (mind/intellect) and syneidisi (consciousness/conscience).

The Root of Consciousness

The word syneidisi (Συνείδηση) comes from syn- (with) + eidenai (to know). It literally means “knowing together” or sharing knowledge with oneself, an inner awareness or joint knowledge of your soul and actions. To wake this up (αφύπνιση) means you are transitioning from running on automatic pilot to truly knowing and perceiving reality as it is.

The Orthodox Mystical Tradition

Greek culture is heavily influenced by the filokalia and the Orthodox contemplative tradition, where awakening (nepsis, meaning watchfulness or sobriety) is fundamentally about waking up the inner eye of the heart. It’s an expansion of self-awareness, realizing the illusion of the ego, and waking up to a deeper reality. Rooted in filokalia, the love of inner beauty, harmony, and virtue. It points directly toward the love of higher beauty, the exalted, and the marvelous, perceived as transcendent and a revelation of truth.

The Language of Responsibility

Interestingly, syneidisi in Greek means both consciousness (awareness) and conscience (moral compass). You can’t separate the two in Greek thought. A true spiritual awakening in this language isn’t just getting high on good vibes; it’s waking up to moral clarity, truth, and deep personal accountability.

The Greeks don’t just call it waking up the spirit; they call it waking up the very faculty that lets you see yourself and the universe clearly.

. . .
<div The schedule is packed, the checklist is completely crossed out, and we did everything we were supposed to do.

And yet, there is this strange emptiness at the end of the day…

We tend to blame it on overworking.

We think we just need a break, or better time management, or a proper weekend.

But what if the emptiness has nothing to do with how much you did, and everything to do with what you actually did?

We assume that if we fill our days with effort, and if we push ourselves toward the things we are “supposed” to want, fulfillment will naturally follow.

Think about how a day is constructed for most people. You wake up, bypass your own alignment, and immediately plug yourself into a collective system that demands your output. You run on adrenaline, ambition, or the fear of falling behind. You fill your schedule with goals, obligations, and milestones that society told you were valuable, convincing yourself that if you just push hard enough, the struggle will turn into fulfillment.

We follow a path because it looks right, because it makes sense on paper, or because it keeps the peace. But peace never comes. And you ask yourself, “Why? When you are supposedly doing everything that you supposedly want, why does this strange feeling remain?”

We spend our energy building the life we want, but are we actually building the right life?

We treat our life force like an endless well, pouring it into an unfulfilling destination.

You think you are building a life, but you are actually subsidizing a reality that was never meant to sustain you.

The thing is, when you are guided into an unfulfilling life, when your daily effort is poured into a path that isn’t your true passion or your real purpose, you are slowly starving yourself.

Every time you direct your focus, your time, and your vital energy toward a path that belongs to someone else’s definition of success, you waste your essence for no reason. You are running a marathon on a track you never chose, burning through your precious energy to create a life that is driving you further away from who you actually are.

You spend the whole day moving, but your soul isn’t in it.

You are using your energy to fuel a life that doesn’t actually sustain your spirit. And by the time evening comes, your body is tired, but your inner self is exhausted in a completely different way. It is the exhaustion of being wasted on things that don’t really matter to you. By the time the sun goes down and the productivity metrics are logged, your soul is starving because it was fed a diet of things it never asked to consume.

We trade our actual existence for a routine that looks successful to everyone else, even to ourselves, that our soul despises.

True exhaustion isn’t working too hard; it is the soul realizing it has spent another entire day consenting to a life that does not belong to it.

You cannot fix that emptiness by adding more leisure time, taking a bubble bath, or tweaking your daily habits. You cannot optimize your way out of a misalignment. The only way to stop draining your resources is to look at the massive expenditure of your life force and ask a terrifying question: Who am I actually spending this for?

What if you decide to stop spending your life force on a reality that doesn’t belong to you?

You don’t need a better productivity system. You need to look at where your energy is actually going, and whether the life you are building is even yours to begin with.

Does it feel fulfilling? Are you enjoying your life, or are you living for a future you might never enjoy inhabiting?

When you wake up to the fact that you are spending your days on autopilot, honoring a path you never truly chose, the emptiness stops being just a discomfort. It becomes a message. It is your inner self telling you that it refuses to keep wasting your life on something that leaves you empty.

You have to build your life from a place of true alignment.

Share

The Quiet Alignment

Trace the Drain: Notice where your energy actually goes versus where your heart actually lives. As I started writing out a response to her, it stopped being a simple reply and expanded into a whole theory. So this post is my download inspired by her.

For lack of a better word, I use the label “empath” to explain how perceptive and receptive you are to your surroundings. It is a super power because not everyone has that high level of perception. Maybe in the beginning, as the general term is used, it means you are just highly sensitive. But lately I am redefining the term to mean highly perceptive. Because there is no other way to get so much information if you don’t identify what you are receiving as information. At the beginning, the nervous system isn’t used to the language of the senses, so it comes as raw feelings. But as you develop your “empathy”, this muscle stretches to a high-calibrated tool of clarity. The feelings become language; they aren’t abstract sensations and overwhelm anymore. They evolve to precision.

I hope you enjoyed your summer.

I just wanted to share a quick update on the direction of this place. For months now, I have been considering a rebrand because I noticed how my writing started to shift away from a “personal diary” toward dissecting the mechanics of the ego, spiritual philosophy, and the hard truths of human connection.

It no longer made sense to use a personal sign-off and a name when what I am sharing isn’t coming from my ego. I was even getting messages that I had to assume were meant for someone else in my audience. But then again, I thought: do I want to be used as a channeler, sharing random messages that Spirit or a frequency wants to communicate through? Anyway.

Since my writing started to shift from the personal to the observed, my old “brand identity” began to feel like a pot I outgrew. When you stamp a name onto everything, people get offended or project their opinions onto a text, forgetting that a text isn’t always an opinion, sometimes it is just a truth that wants to be shared through you. Taking credit for the message means taking responsibility for something you are merely witnessing as a messenger.

When I am writing about the mechanics of the ego in this publication, it comes from a neutral diagnostic place. My more opinionated/human perspective writing lives in my Beautifully Nonsensical publication.

So this publication is now simply called Sincerely, and the author name attached to it is Infinity (matching the infinity symbol woven into the new logo). Everything else remains the same. Since the work is focused on mapping the dissolving of the ego and the soul’s journey of remembrance, letting an infinite concept replace a human name feels like a fitting paradox to play with anyway.

Thank you for being here.

<div class="subscription-widget-wrap-editor" Isn’t this self-abandonment?

Because honestly, trying to maintain a pure non-dual perspective while walking around in a physical body and dealing with everyday human friction often looks a lot less like enlightenment and a lot more like spiritual bypassing or outright dissociation.

It is a form of self-neglect, isn’t it? Pretending the mud doesn’t exist just because you know water makes mud doesn’t clean your shoes.

The trap of strict non-duality is that people use it as an emotional armor. Instead of integrating the human experience, the exhaustion, the annoyance, the grief, the joy, they try to float above it all in a permanent state of “all is one.” But a world carved out of duality doesn’t just disappear because you squint at it and say “it’s all an illusion.”

When you bypass the human level, you aren’t actually transcending duality; you’re just cutting off half of your own reality. You’re denying the very vessel you’re experiencing life through. True depth isn’t about pretending you’re only the sky. It’s about realizing you are the sky and the stormy weather, without needing to run away from the rain.

I have experienced high states of bliss where my heart was so open and full of love and felt connected to everything, but I can still see the tree as a tree, the other person as someone else, etc. Because in concept we are all one; in flesh we literally can’t bypass that and mesh into a giant morph of everything. That is non duality! And clearly we aren’t in this state in the physical.

That is the distinction. You can touch that infinite, all-encompassing state of love and unity, but the moment you open your eyes, you are still sitting here, and the tree is there, and you are you.

Trying to erase that physical reality is where people turn a spiritual insight into a mental cage. If we were meant to be a giant morph of everything, we wouldn’t have been given separate nervous systems, distinct faces, and skin that ends where the world begins. The flesh matters. The boundary is part of the design.

True integration isn’t about pretending the separate parts don’t exist; it’s about holding both truths at once. You can know the absolute reality of oneness while fully honoring the relative reality of being a human being sitting across from another human being.

When people try to live permanently in that “no other” conceptual space down here in the physical world, it stops being liberation and starts looking like an escape hatch. They use non-duality as a shield so they don’t actually have to deal with the messy, vulnerable work of relating to others.

It takes a lot more courage to stay in the flesh, admit when things are exhausting, and look someone in the eye as an “other” while still holding love, than it does to float away on a cloud of abstract philosophy.

Are we deluding ourselves then with those philosophies? I know in a way it is about remembering the truth of spirit. That is their purpose and this is why these philosophies are resurfacing. But living in that philosophy can only go as far as your flesh exists. Literally nowhere! It’s just amusing for the peace of mind and the spirit of remembering its eternal state. But other than that it has no applicable use.

When those philosophies are turned into a lifestyle or a rulebook for everyday human life, it becomes absolute self-delusion.

The actual purpose of those states and teachings is just an anchor for the spirit. A way to remember the eternal background so you aren’t terrified of your own shadow. It’s like looking at a map of the entire ocean; it’s breathtaking to know it’s out there, but you can’t live underwater. You still have to swim in your specific, physical little wave.

The moment you try to apply pure non-duality as a practical manual for walking around in human shoes, it breaks down completely because, literally, your flesh says no. You have a nervous system that registers pain, boundaries that keep you safe, and an individual perspective that chose to incarnate right here, right now, precisely to experience the contrast.

It is amusing for the peace of mind; a nice little vacation for the soul to remember it is infinite. But pretending that vacation is your permanent address while you’re paying bills, getting tired, and dealing with people? That’s just avoiding the very classroom you signed up for.

If the philosophy doesn’t have room for the fatigue, the boundaries, and the reality of the separate “other,” then it’s not enlightenment, it’s just an expensive hiding spot.

Am I going rogue spiritually? haha

What would Jesus say?

If Jesus walked up to someone playing the “I’m too enlightened to feel exhausted” card, he’d probably look at them, roll his eyes, and tell a parable about a guy stepping in mud and pretending he’s flying.

He didn’t walk around floating three feet off the ground pretending the Romans weren’t occupying Judea or that people weren’t annoying. He lived right in the grit of the flesh, got angry, felt the weight of it all, and still pointed to the divine.

Maybe I’m graduating from “pretending to be an angel” back to being a fully awake, honest-to-goodness human being. That’s where all the real love actually lives anyway.

So pay attention to the “spiritual” people you follow and read.

A grounded spiritual writing should point to the infinite background without denying the foreground. They should be saying, “Look at the canvas.”

You have to be able to say, “Yes, I see the canvas, but my brush hurts, I’m tired of painting, and this other person on the internet is pretending they don’t have to hold a brush at all!”

The breakdown only happens when internet spiritualists take a profound realization and use it as a weapon to invalidate human reality.

Maybe I’m not going rogue spiritually at all. We assume, through a lens of limited understanding and a desire to infuse romance into every story, that the Prince was the hero who arrived to save the Princess from her misery. But what if that was never the case?

It’s as if the princess and God had no power over her reality and the prince just happened to be at the right place at the right time, fell in love with her, and they disappeared together into the sunset.

What if the Princess held power over her own reality all along? What if she did not need saving, but instead manifested the Prince as an opportunity, as a doorway provided by the Universe to shift her life’s trajectory?

What if these stories were never truly about romance, but about alignment and the bravery required to follow one’s heart?

You built the trap yourself.

That shift doesn’t mean you’ve lost your capacity for compassion. It usually means two things:

Compassion Fatigue: Your nervous system has processed too much avoidable human wreckage. When you’ve watched people repeat the exact same self-sabotaging loops over and over. Ignoring the red flags, drifting away from what matters, manufacturing their own heartbreak, the source simply runs out.

The Trap of Clarity: Total clarity is a roomy place. When you see the mechanics of cause and effect so sharply, it strips away the tragic romance people wrap themselves in. You stop seeing a victim of circumstance and start seeing someone choosing their own weather and then complaining that they’re wet.

It is hard to feel soft toward people when their pain looks entirely optional to you.

Somehow, I had to share them with someone, to discuss them. Along the way, it evolved into a means of expression and creation.

However, on Substack, it took on a completely different dimension. With everything I share, I know I have an open door to my soul. At first, it seemed a bit scary, but then I understood the purpose why it needed to be done. The only reason I share myself so openly is because it is beneficial for me.

How writing on Substack changed me

I started writing on Substack consistently since October. I used to write before as a blogger, but I was sharing nothing too personal. In the same way, I started writing here and with a similar approach until I didn’t. The more I opened up to the void and with the convenience that no one truly read me, the more comfortable I was to share whatever I felt like. I was hiding behind a logo and everything was under control.

Until the first subscribers came. People actually read what I was hiding in my heart for so long. And the more I shared, the more open my heart spread. Who knew that sharing wasn’t going to be scary, but liberating?
