Collabs can be a gem, or they can leave you with that icky feeling.

I recently had such an awesome creator collaboration and it reminded me why I believe so much in this growth tool. I’ve also been on the other side of it, where I held up my end and then heard crickets.

In today’s podcast episode I’m talking about collabs, from the virtual handshake to the tag button. I’m covering:

• What you really owe another creator when you make a deal

• The difference between tagging someone and adding them as a collaborator (most people mix these up!)

• What changes when a brand is involved

• What to do when someone doesn’t accept your collab

• And the good news: if you mess up, it’s usually fixable

Plus, I’m sharing a mindset shift that will save you from spiraling over a collab invite that just sits there.

Vlog with a Story

The best way to engage viewers in a vlog is to give it story structure, without letting your audience realize. ✨ The Magic of Content Collaboration

Creating Doesn’t Have to Be a Solo Sport

Most of us make content alone. Alone in the edit, alone with the idea, alone wondering if what we just posted is any good.

Then I spent a weekend with 12 creators at the first Muthership Creator Retreat, and it changed how I think about the whole thing.

In this week’s episode, I’m sharing what happened when a small group got together and tried things outside their comfort zone and how that has changed the way you’ll think about content collaboration.

The retreat was absolutely amazing!

If you are not aware, 12 creators joined me for an in-person experience in NYC this past weekend to be inspired, create and change the game on their content.

And it was magical!

Friendships were made, creator collabs were produced and the vibes… well let’s just say a few of us cried when it ended.

Several creators who attended made videos and this one really captured the essence of the event! Thank you @scottiehandsome for your

“This weekend in NYC with the Muthership creator studio had me nervous, excited, and so glad I said yes. I came to learn and create, but meeting my teacher and classmates became one of the best parts. Talented humans, beautiful souls, and so much kindness, encouragement, and laughter. ❤️

There’s something special about being around people who understand why you’re filming everything and cheer you on while you do it. 😂

In my 40s, I’m still trying new things, making new friends, and finding places where I belong. If you’ve been waiting for “someday,” let this be your little nudge. Say yes. Your people might be there, too.” - Scott H.

We will be announcing the next 2 retreats soon so you can get the dates on your calendar and join me for a weekend of creative inspiration that will change how you think of content creation.

Two years ago I said these words excitedly in a professional brainstorming session: “I’d like to have my own app!”

But I didn’t have any idea who or what that app might serve and I pretty much forgot about it.

Fast forward to today and that idea finally has a home!

📣 The Muthership Studio App is LIVE for iOS and Android and there is a 7-day trial so you can check it out FREE!

Inside the app you’ll find: hands-on training, live weekly feedback sessions with me “in person” on zoom, challenges and trends to keep you creative, and a community of creators who share what's working for them too! No going it alone.

It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner or a seasoned creator, you’ll learn new skills and get support to level up.

Join by clicking THIS LINK - then download the Muthership Studio App and log in to view everything shown below:
