🏆 (1/9): Widget of the Week (14-20 September 2026)

The thePlus.so Text Widget isn’t just for writing text. With a few short codes, you can build unusual things using unlimited colors and Google fonts. Like in the ELMO CLOCK video, for example. I add Elmo’s GIF link from Sesame Street as the background of the text. Then I put a clock on top of it that displays the live time. I also pick a Google Font I like. When I add a neon effect to the text and set the color to red, it turns into a genuinely fun piece of work.

🕵️ (2/9): 3 Features You Didn’t Know About thePlus.so

• You can search your widgets. On the search page you can see how many times each widget has been clicked. This lets you check whether your template is still being used. If the numbers aren’t going up, you’ll know your template isn’t being used.

• You can turn the images inside a Notion image carousel widget grayscale without using Photoshop or Canva. To do this, open the image widget, go to “More Options”, and pick the grayscale option under “Image Filter”.

• Once a Notion template is published, its creator normally can’t reach the content anymore. With the thePlus.so Announcement Widget, that changes. You get a feed that works like your own little blog inside the template. You can use it to share updates, or as an upsell channel.

⚠️ (3/9): Don’t Make This Mistake

If you’re on the thePlus.so free plan and you open an image from your own computer in the browser, copy that link, and paste it into the image widget. It won’t work. You need to upload your image somewhere online first, then copy that link into the image widget. Or just get a thePlus.so subscription. Then you never have to deal with any of this.

✨ (4/9): thePlus.so Unicode Suggestion

You can get unlimited symbols to use in your Notion templates, fast and completely free. You don’t even need to sign up.

For example, on page 40 of thePlus.so/unicodes, there’s this. ⸎ I think it’s a really cute symbol. I’d love to use it as a heading in my templates.

💡 (5/9): Notion Template Idea of the Week

You could sell a “Launch Waitlist” template, because the thePlus.so Text Widget has a real, self-running countdown shortcut. Here’s how to set it up:

1. Open a new Text Widget from the dashboard.

2. In the content, type this inside parentheses: (countdown 25.12.2026 09:00) — change the date and time to your own target.

3. Use only numbers, don’t spell out the month name; write 25.12.2026, not “December 25.”

4. You can write the date as day/month/year or year/month/day, the system works out on its own which number is the year and which is the day.

5. You can also write just a time, for example (countdown 21:00). In that case the target becomes that time today, and if that time has already passed, it automatically shifts to tomorrow.

6. Embed the widget in your Notion page. The countdown updates on its own every second, and each visitor sees it in their own time zone.

7. If you get the syntax wrong (like spelling out the month), the text just stays as it is, it doesn’t silently disappear, so you’ll notice your mistake right away.

The buyer just changes the date, the widget handles the rest. Anyone launching a new product, course, or piece of content needs this, and it’s the kind of thing that can be bought again for every new launch.

💰 (6/9): Sales Tactics for Notion Template Creators

When selling your template, offer two tiers, like Pro and Pro Plus. The Pro version sticks to Notion’s default features. Pro Plus is a version dressed up with widgets that gives it a premium feel. It looks more appealing. You raise the perceived value of the template. With a few simple changes, you increase your revenue.

👤 (7/9): Who is Easlo?

Easlo was a student building systems in Notion for his own class notes. In the summer of 2021 he tidied them up and put them on Gumroad, free or pay-what-you-want, and thousands of people downloaded them. In November 2021 he emailed the people who’d downloaded them for free and offered a paid version this time, and they bought it. His best-known template, Second Brain, isn’t actually his own idea, it comes from Tiago Forte’s personal knowledge management system. What Easlo added was turning that idea into a finished Notion template you could duplicate in a single click. That one template alone passed $100,000, and his total earnings reached around $20,000 a month by the end of 2022. His growth came from a single channel: years of posting on Twitter alone, every single day, with no ads. The lesson: you don’t need a new idea, you just need to be the person who makes an existing good idea usable in fifteen seconds, but first you have to give without asking for anything back and earn people’s trust. 🆕 (8/9): What’s New?

• A countdown feature was added to the Text Widget. Write a date, and the widget counts down to it on its own.

• You now stay signed in for thirty days, closing the browser no longer signs you out while you’re building a widget.

• Widget duplication was rebuilt: add a + to the end of an embed link and that widget gets copied straight into your own dashboard, and you can turn this off for your own widgets if you want. It’s just like duplicating a Notion template. You can duplicate our widgets the same way. All it takes is adding a + to the end of the link. That’s really all there is to it.

Let me quickly say what happened, because there is something else I want to tell you after it.

Notion asked me to drop “Notion” from the name. So NotionPlus.dev became thePlus.so. Nothing you built broke. Your widgets still work, your embeds still load in your pages, your account is the same account, and the old links redirect. That is the whole story.

Now the other thing.

I am going to try to send you one of these every week, and actually explain the product rather than only announcing things. I do not think most of you know what you can already build with it, and that is my fault, not yours.

So I made a few videos showing what is possible:

💥 Brand Name Problem

I decided on NotionPlus without looking at Notion's pricing page, because I was using Notion for free. I realized it after I released the product 😅

I'm afraid that one day Notion won't want me to use their name. I looked for a generic domain name for a new brand but didn't like any of them. 🤷‍♂️

🐞 Bugs

It has become a sea of bugs, adding small features from time to time. So much so that even the design has bugs. The other day, I opened a pop-up on my mobile, but I couldn't close it. The button to close it moves off the screen. 🤦‍♂️

I want to fix all this nonsense and release NotionPlus 2 with better features and, better interface. Please help me with this goal. I am here for you!

Updating the Order of Images

Now we can update the order of the images. You can sort the first uploaded image by dragging it to the 2nd place or the end.

General Interface Updated

While there are still some missing interfaces, the majority have been updated. Many widget-adding and editing pages, including the image upload page, have been further simplified.

Notion Unicodes Updated

Added the following pagination to the top. This solved the problem of continuous scrolling.

Go Dashboard

The "login or sign up" buttons in the header and hero section on the homepage have been updated with a button to go to the dashboard after logging in. It used to force login every time we clicked it.

New EasterEggs Added! ????

There are dozens of easter-eggs on the website. Some of them happen when you type "Minecraft" and "Undertale" on the search page from the dashboard :) Or there is a Konami code on the landing page. These are just a small part. Discover the rest yourself.

Image Check Feature Added!

Added image control feature for those who add wrong image links in the image widget. Most of the people don't know the image link. Some people think the Google Drive folder link is an image. Some think that when they add the link to the image on their computer, everyone will see it. file:\\\\users\image.png These do not work, but people do not know. Now they will know. :)

New Widgets on Widget Add Page

I have seen that some people still do not know the features of NotionPlus. For example, I was repeatedly asked to add a quotes widget. However, this feature has been around for a long time and works well. But people couldn't find it in the text widget. That's why the "quotes widget" button has been added to the add widget page to add it more practically. Similar widgets were added in the same way.

Updated the Order of Shortcut Widget Buttons

Images: 3, Buttons: 2, Texts: 1, Icons: 1, Announcements: 2, Dividers: 1, Counters: 1 Such buttons used to be added randomly. Now they are updated according to the most used ones.

Improve: Fixed Pop Up Problem in Image Widget!

Even if you turn off the pop up feature in any image widget, it remained open. And it was never turned off. This bug has been fixed. Thank you very much to the member who reported the error with feedback.

Improve: Fixed Image Issue in Google Drive Links!

I got feedback that they are trying to open Google Drive links as images. Without changing this behavior of the users, the images in the Google Drive link now open without any problems!

Improve: Updated The Pagination Style

Updated the pagination style on Widgets and Search pages. It used to be listed in order as an image, button, etc... Now, no matter which widget, it shows whatever was added last at the top.

New Feature: Notion Counter Widget

I received anonymous feedback a couple of weeks ago asking for Counter to be added. I added it. I published it in its most minimal form. There are no classic N+ features. I wrote "enriched and unusual designs" on the homepage of my website, but I never described it as "rich Notion widgets". Pascio, aka The Notion Template Guy, who is famous in the Notion community, said it himself last week. He used the word "rich" in his Instagram post.

I've been struggling to define the product for a long time. I've adopted the word "rich". It reminded me of a still from the film "The Greatest Showman". In this film, the story of P.T. Barnum is told as a musical. When a journalist uses the word "circus", Mr. Barnum renames his business as "The Barnum Circus". Today, when I describe NotionPlus, I will say "Rich Notion Widgets" :)

1. Improve: The Easy Way to Edit Your Widgets

Previously, you used to log in to NotionPlus and find and edit your widget from the Widgets page on the Dashboard. With this new feature, in the Notion template where you add the widget, the "Edit" text appears in the lower left corner that only you can see. It only appears in your widgets when your account is open. A small feature for more practical use.

I received an anonymous feedback this week, which said the following.

I love how customizable the widgets are. I especially love the announcement widget, it's very useful. I would love more functional widgets like counters. Overall, it's great!

In addition, a Notioner named Pascio, whose name we often hear in the Notion world, featured NotionPlus in his Instagram post. It was something I never planned. I realized it by chance. I was so surprised and felt like my heart was going to explode. It was an incredible feeling! 😊

1. New Feature: Visitor Counter Widget

You can print the number of times a widget is displayed on the screen. You can use this as a visitor counter. For example "How many people have viewed this template?". Read the blog post to use it!

2. Notion Style Button Designs

A button design similar to Notion's logo has been added. There are 2 variations!

⚙ What is the New Improve Added This Week?

1. Improve: Innovations Notification

The "Innovations" notification on the dashboard was always active. Therefore, it always appeared in red. This has been fixed. Now it will only be red when there are innovations and it will say "NEW!".

2. Improve: Changelog and Feedback Links

I created the link NotionPlus.dev/changelog for easy access to the changelog. Also, the site was giving an error with the "/" added at the end. I fixed this and now it doesn't give an error on the feedback link.

3. Improve: Announcement Panel Listing

The posts in the announcement panel were displayed randomly. Now the latest post has been updated to appear at the top!

4. Non-Working Login Buttons Fixed!

A bug was reported that there were non-working login buttons on pricing, affiliates, widgets, terms, and privacy pages. These pages have been fixed.

5. Fixed the Same Email Problem!

In the Pricing process, people can write different emails that they pay with the email they are a member of NotionPlus. This is a wrong process. Both must be the same email, otherwise they cannot see each other. That's why I added a warning between pricing and the LemonSqueezy page.

6. Landing Page Updated!

Added colors to the background of the Hero section that change randomly each time the page is refreshed. Also, the video image has been updated.

1. Weekly success report added!

Now every week on Monday, a report showing how successful you have been will appear on your dashboard. You can read the details about the subject from the NotionPlus Blog.

2. Changelog added!

I had it before but I removed it, and now I added it again. I will take care to use this place regularly. It has been added to the "innovations" menu in the dashboard.

3. The last 10 widgets added!

You will now be able to see the last 10 widgets you have shared in your dashboard. You will be able to access them quickly without going to the Widgets page!

What Has Been Improved?

1. Account deletion system automated!

I'd like to keep this news confidential, but it would be unethical. I don't want you to delete your accounts, but if you want to delete your accounts, the account deletion system has been renewed! Your account is now automatically deleted after 30 days when you create an account deletion request. If you regret it within 30 days, you have a chance to recover it. After 30 days, however, accounts and all your data are permanently deleted!

2. The feedback link has been updated!

Instead of entering the site and searching for the feedback link to give feedback to NotionPlus, you can now quickly give feedback with "NotionPlus.dev/feedback"!

3. The design of the dashboard has been updated to resemble Notion.

It's better. It's prettier.

4. Affiliate commission has been reduced to 40%.

I was going to make it 70%, but everyone said I was crazy. So I went to 50% and finally 40%. My gut says 25%. The issue here is not 25% or 40%. The crazy part is that I give this every month. When you subscribe a person, you get a 40% commission for as long as that person subscribes. That's why people think I'm crazy. ':) Affiliate gives automatic approval. You can get links quickly!

(countdown …) You can create a countdown with this usage method. The good thing is that there is no specific format. So you can write it as (countdown 11/30/2023) or you can write it as (countdown 10:25:00). Or you can combine them all (countdown 11/30/2023 10:25:00).

The Much-Awaited Feature is Finally Live!
