App lock: off by default, ask once for consent - #1663
The lock was on by default. It now stays off until the user agrees.
resolveLockEnabled: on only when true is stored (apps/mobile/src/lib/appLock.ts).
LockProvider exposes shouldAsk: the device can lock, nothing is stored, and the user was signed in at app start (so the first ask comes on the launch after sign-up).
New LockPrompt (Home only, through the prompt queue, priority 90): Turn on app lock runs the fingerprint/passcode check and turns it on; Not now or a dismissal stores off, with no check.
Existing users who never touched the setting lose the silent default and get the ask on their next launch.
Strings in en/ta/hi/ar.
Tests: lock.test.ts covers the ask, the no-check decline, and no ask on the sign-in launch. Mobile suite: 6670 passed.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added a one-time prompt asking whether to enable app locking. Users can opt in to biometric or device-passcode checks when opening Waves.
Added translations for the lock prompt in English, Tamil, Hindi, and Arabic.
Behavior Changes
App locking is now off by default and requires the user to opt in. Choosing “Not now” dismisses the prompt without requiring authentication.
The lock no longer turns itself on. LockPrompt asks once (Turn on app lock /
Not now) to a user who was already signed in when the app started, so never
on the sign-up launch. Yes runs the system check and turns it on; no or a
dismissal stores off without a check. Existing users who never chose get the
same ask on their next launch. Settings can still change it.
The app lock now defaults to off. The provider determines when to ask a signed-in cold-start user to enable it. A new prompt offers the choice in the Home tab, with translated copy in English, Tamil, Hindi, and Arabic.

Summary
Lock state and opt-in rules apps/mobile/src/lib/appLock.ts, apps/mobile/src/lib/lock.tsx, apps/mobile/test/appLock.test.ts, apps/mobile/test/lock.test.ts
The stored setting enables locking only when it is exactly 'true'. The provider tracks unanswered prompts and the cold-start user, exposes shouldAsk, and updates authentication requirements when the setting changes. Tests cover the default-off state, declining the prompt, signing in after launch, and enabled-lock scenarios.
Prompt and app integration apps/mobile/src/components/LockPrompt.tsx, apps/mobile/src/app/_layout.tsx, apps/mobile/src/i18n/index.ts
LockPrompt requests a delayed prompt slot when the user is eligible and the app is on the Home tab. It displays the confirmation and passes the result to setEnabled. RootLayout renders the prompt, and translations provide its copy in English, Tamil, Hindi, and Arabic.

Merge Risk: Low · up to 8e696
The app lock now defaults to off with a one-time consent prompt, and the core behavior looks sound. Before merging, run Prettier on the i18n file so the CI formatting check passes. Also adjust the prompt wording to mention the short grace period after backgrounding the app.

Explanation
The title "App lock: off by default, ask once for consent" matches the main change. The PR makes app lock off by default, changes resolveLockEnabled to enable the lock only when the stored value is 'true', adds a LockPrompt that asks once, and updates lock.tsx with shouldAsk. The title is specific, short, and accurate, and it does not use vague terms.

Describe the grace period in the consent prompt.
The prompt promises a check every time Waves opens. The default lock allows reopening without a check for 30 seconds after backgrounding, so someone holding the unlocked phone can see the app during that period. Update this copy and its translations to describe the grace period. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
