I'm Max, a high-schooler in Massachusetts. I tend to enjoy RF design and embedded systems development. I'm also the founder of habtronics. I have an Amateur Extra radio license, and I enjoy seeing projects out fully from design to fabrication to production. I find myself frequently designing and launching high-altitude balloons, which can send engineering and research projects to over 100,000 feet high. I've launched around 20 HABs in my time here.
My most successful project is Tiny4FSK. This project, supported in part by the Bagel Fund, is a high-altitude flight computer, featuring real-time position tracking and extensibility. It uses a GPS module and a sub-GHz transceiver to send telemetry from hundreds of kilometers back to Earth, all powered from a SAMD21 and a single AA battery.
I'm also currently working on RXBox, an all-in-one receiver for anything radio, including Tiny4FSK. It combines an SBC (like a Raspberry Pi), a custom SDR, a touch-enabled display, and a battery to provide portable reception of HAB telemetry and more.
I've also been involved with Hack Club in the past, including being a lead organizer for Apex, and designing hackathon badges for Shipwrecked and Prototype. I've also collaborated with research groups and organizations with electronics and high-altitude ballooning.
